I eventually chose to get a new AC unit in light of the total cost of repair with a different company.
it is my understanding that the module has a one year guarantee and Gulfstream Air made no effort to date to retrieve the cost of the module on my behalf. I.have the air handler module in my garage and would hope that they would reimburse me for the cost of the module which is still under warranty.

I might also note that this company was listed by Angies List as one of their recommended companies and when I choose a company listed by Angies List I expect better quality service.

The blower motor blew in my old system so I decided to replace the entire unit. They did a pretty good job. There was a problem with the unit that the distributor supplied. It was the wrong unit. Gulfstream later came back and said there was a problem with the unit and they replaced it for me at no cost. It was a supplier problem and not theirs and I was not receiving my cost-energy savings. I think the price was not as good as I could have received from someone else.
