Charles aka Chuck was amazing. He has the ability to both conceptualize and then execute with a high level of quality and professionalism.
We visited several other Marble and Granite dealers and fabricators and Custom Stone Art was head and shoulders above them.
Our job was difficult. We had slightly uneven floors, a fireplace that needed modification and two glass sliding doors
that immediately flanked the fireplace. Measurements needed to be extremely accurate and execution had to be precise.
Another Marble and Granite fabricator in our area was very vague as to method and price but Chuck was"spot on.".
He was able to do the entire front of the fireplace with no seams and used the marble on the inside and sides of the fireplace with an artistic and practiced eye. He's a perfectionist which meant his results exceeded our expectations. He and his associate were very careful of our pickled oak floors and for the minimal grinding onsite used a vacuum held in place so there was visually no dust.
He uses CNC machines to wet cut the marble in his shop so there is no weakening of the marble through the use of regular saws that produce heat and our side pieces fit together with very fine tolerances. His prices are competitive and with the fact using marble or granite means the work will be in place for sometime, are cost effective. He's intelligent, personable, reliable, honest and talented and offers a variety of options . It's no wonder that names you'd recognize have used him! We plan to use him to redo our bathroom and for other projects.
