We could not be happier with Cosmopolitan Construction and how they helped us throughout this entire project! They were patient, attentive and extremely involved in all aspects of the work. Unlike many General Contractors who simply "pass along" much of the work and responsibility to others, Cosmopolitan actually DOES most of the work and or manages very closely the sub contractors like plumbers and electricians and they assure everything is done according to code.

Another aspect I enjoyed in dealing with Cosmopolitan Construction is that Gus, the owner takes full responsibility and is THE Person OF Contact" for the entire project. He is accessible and responsible. 

We also have to give this company kudos for going above and beyond the call of duty on more than one occasion! They went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied without constantly up charging us every step of the way.  They did a lot of extra little things for us during the course of the contract and renovation. In instances where we actually did modify the requirements we found them to be quite fair and reasonable in terms of delivery a quality result.

It's hard to find company's like Cosmopolitan Construction! They turned our 1960's Florida cracker home into a real show place and we are very happy and pleased. Sure we ran into issues along they way but they solved them on our behalf. 

I cannot begin to rave about how talented these guys are! They custom designed half our kitchen, raised our ceilings when others advised it was not possible. ALL their employees are just as kind and courteous as they can be and will do whatever it takes to make the customer satisfied.

This company has my praise and gratitude for an excellent job and I would recommend you utilizing their services without hesitation.

We would call them back in a heartbeat and without a second thought. We are happy to have such a responsible company and neighbor be of service to us.

Completely remodeled our guest house. Great work with the Bathroom/ Kitchen. Really happy with the work. Work came out perfect. We are currently using them for another house that we are remodeling. Would refer them - very professional.

Showed up late and we never received a quote although we called him several times.

Pricing on each project was about average among the bids I got (not a lot of spread). All work started on time, finished on time. Very good workmanship. Pavers tightly laid. 
The boss, Gus, can be a little tough to get hold off but once I asked for his cell phone to call rather than using the office number things went smoother.

I contacted Gus on 4/30/14 about getting an estimate for repairs on my existing driveway, and also to pour an additional driveway. He  said that I was out of his way and he didn't know when he would be in my area. He clearly states that he does work in my area. It has been 1 month and I still have not heard back from him. I'm glad that he showed his work ethic and priorities up front, because I would've been upset if I hired him to do the job, and he failed to contact me after I've already put money into the work. The job would've estimated to be about a $5,000 job. I will find someone who takes their customers seriously, and has the professionalism to call them back.

Project just underway however Gus (the owner) has always been prompt reliable honest and fair. I expect the entire project to go very smoothly.

Their pricing was competitive, they were on schedule, and on time. I am very satisfied with Cosmopolitan Construction & Maintenance Corporations's work.

Gus is very personable, professional, and courteous.  He provided a written estimate and emailed per request.  He was reasonable and honest in the appraisal.  He let you know the process and delays, like awaiting permit and city inpection, which was requested yesterday.  I would absolutely use him again.

I called Gus Alvarez of Cosmopolitan construction and in the initial call itself checked if he would be interested in doing our job since we are slightly outside his usual operating area. He looked at the distance on his GPS and since we were not too far, showed interest to come in for a quote. He came in while passing by our area and took measurements. The Quote did not come in for a week after the promised date and after couple of follow up calls, finally the quote was sent by email. When we responded with some more questions, there hasn't been a reply till date which is approximately from 5 weeks ago.

The responsiveness is very bad and I would have liked communication even if the vendor is not interested in the job for whatever reason. While I would not hire this contractor, others can take some lesson from my experience.

As explained above we were extremely happy with Cosmopolitan's work.

Overall the experience was WONDERFUL! Everything was totally explained and Gus was extremely helpful answering any questions we had even if not related to the driveway specifically. The project took approximately 3 weeks due to weather and allowing for drying etc. Cosmopolitan Construction is the best construction company we have dealt with EVER! We have had all types of construction work up north and some here in Florida. His work is exemplary with reasonable prices.
