Caveat Emptor. Let the buyer beware. Code Red Admits Guilt by Defaulting on Court Proceedings. If you are considering this company... This is a must read. Code Red Roofing? Find another company there are many out there! May 2022 I signed an agreement with Griffin Roe the owners son of Code Red to replace our Roof. He knows my address and phone number all info is on the agreement. Their response to this review must be a bot response. "We take feedback like yours very seriously, as our goal is to always provide exceptional service to our customers." Nice words Almost 2 years later.... Code Red began work in July 2022 removing the existing metal roof and applying underlayment. The roof stayed in this condition until October. They started applying panels after the metal sat in my driveway for almost 2 months, uncovered, and open to the elements. Metal panel suppliers recommend the panels be applied to roof within one to two days max once delivered to the property. I was told tarps would be laid out along the edge of the home while metal pieces, Screws and trash would not be left in the yard. That was a disaster with no protection. As work was coming to a close Code Red was asked to correct dented, smudged, rusty, and incorrectly cut panels, and incomplete work before final payment. What they do is require final payment immediately upon inspection from the county so they don’t have to complete the roof properly. Luckily, I held back the last payment. The owner, Doug Roe, Contractor and owner of Code Red came to my house July 2023 a year after the start of the work. Doug assured me he would have a crew come back and correct all the defects. He told me he would give me a discount and I told him I did not want a discount. I just want my roof done correctly. "I signed an agreement with you. I’ll hold up my end and you hold up yours." I never saw him again. Code Red was served a summons to respond to a court hearing. Code Red never responded resulting in a default, admitting guilt. My advice to those who took the time to read this review is … Do your homework, or pay twice.

Brian and his team did a great job of repairing my roof leak and fixing my broken tiles. They were prompt, thorough, and kept me well-informed of the progress of my service.

It's been over a month since they started (add another month in between initial payment and actually getting them started in the first place) and the roof (and damage to our house caused by the crew) are both still unfinished/damaged. The company will often postpone anything and everything they can, and they NEVER actually tell you it. If you don't contact them first, you'll be left in the dark day after day wondering where the crew is. Heck, when the dumpster for the previous roof supplies was delayed in delivery, their own crew showed up that morning expecting to do work (which they couldn't, no dumpster). The company has a complete lack of professionalism and I urge anyone reading this to save yourself the headache and go with a real company.

BEWARE!! THE WARNING IS IN THEIR NAME "RED" FLAG!!! IT TOOK THEM ALMOST A YEAR TO FINISH BUT IN THE END WAS A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE AS I BABYSAT THIS COMPANY FOR EVERYTHING! THE ONLY WORKERS HERE WERE "CHEAP LABORERS" AND THEY BROKE TRUSSES ON THE WEST END OF OUR BUILDING NOT INFORMING US AND TRIED TO "COVER UP". THE SOFFIT BELOW THAT FELL AFTERWARDS AND THEY SAID AS 1 OF THE DOZENS OF LIES/EXCUSES THAT IT WAS ROTTEN WOOD. WE GOT FIXED ON OUR DIME, AND NO ROTTEN WOOD WHATSOEVER. ITS FROM THE BROKEN TRUSSES ABOVE THE SOFFIT!! SO WE WERE LEFT WITH A BENT ROOF & SLANTED SOFFIT. THEY REFUSE TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY DESPITE US HAVING NO DAMAGE IN THAT AREA B4HAND AND NO ONE ELSE WAS UP ON OUR ROOF. I COULD FILL A BOOK WITH THEIR MISTAKES BUT WE ARE SUING THEM. I WROTE TO BBB 1ST TO RESOLVE AND THEY SHUT THEIR BBB ACCOUNT DOWN AFTER MY COMPLAINT. THAT TELLS ME ALL I NEED TO KNOW. THEY SEEM TO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH OTHERS THROUGH THE YEARS. I CALL THEM "BOZO ROOFERS". I HAVE NEVER WRITTEN A COMPLAINT AGAINST ANY COMPANY EVER, BUT THAT'S HOW BAD THEY ARE.

ON THE 1st OF 3 CALLS A NICE SOUNDING YOUNG LADY SAID SHE WOULD CHECK OUT THE SITUATION W/ HER BOSSES...?! NEVER GOT BACK!! WEEKS LATER I GOT A GENT WHO SAID HE WAS IN CHARGE OF REPAIRS - GET ON IT ASAP...NEVER HAPPENED!!! NOW, EARLY APRIL I CALLED GOT SAME GENT WHO SAID HE'D SEND HIS GUYS OUT FRIDAY (today) AT 1:00 PM... THEY NEVER SHOWED AND NEVER CALLED !!! :( :( WHAT GIVES OVER THERE? AND WHY DID MY NEW ROOF LEAK TO START ANYWAY? ALL THIS IS WITHIN THE WARRANTY PERIOD. IF THEY CAN'T DO A GOOD JOB AND FOLLOW UP THEY NEED TO GET OUT OF THE BIZ !!

Lots of delays...took a LONG time to complete.  We then had a significant leak not long after the replacement (water pouring through ceiling into hallway).  Presumably it was fixed, but we don't know for sure since the repair person left afterwards without discussing what was done.  Now we have at least one loose tile (perhaps more), and I've been calling Code Red repeatedly to have it looked at and repaired.  Just tried calling them this morning and both of their phone numbers appear to be disconnected.  I'm not sure what's going on, but we are so dissatisfied.  And we're supposed to have a 7-year warranty!  Quite honestly, if we had to do over, we would have gone with a different roofer...we regret having done business with this company.

The best repair that I ever had. The 2 repair men, Nicolas & Rigoberto were great and their work was best in the business. Not only I will recommend them but I will never call an other company.

Sales guy made the company sound wonderful.  Price was competitive. We were told that if we signed up that day we would get a rebate from our electric company as long as the roof was done in 30 days.  They promised they could have it done in less than a month.  Needless to say they took our deposit and didn't even start the roof for almost two months.  We kept calling and they kept giving us excuse after excuse.  It's the rain, the crew supervisor has a wedding, they have to finish another roof first, yours is the next job, waiting on supplies, etc, etc, etc.  Then they started!  The workers smoked on our roof and threw their cigarette butts all over our yard and stuffed them in our gutters.  They tore off our old roof and then didn't have the crew or supplies ready to put our new roof on.  They left the roof off our house for 2-3 weeks in the rainy season! They finally got the new roof on which looks ok but I wouldn't say it's perfect by any means.  The county inspector finally came out and passed the work.  The thing that makes me most angry is that we received our final bill in less than 24 hours from the time the inspector passed it.  They had $12,000 dollars of our money for months and couldn't get the job done and then they asked for the remainder of $6000 less than 24 hours after completion.  
PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!  HORRIBLE!

Called roofer on 9/18/15 to setup an appt for Monday 9/21 at 1pm. Monday morining roofer called and cancelled due to schedule conflict.  I immediately called receptionist back to book another appt for Wednesday at 8:30am.  Roofer did not show nor did they call to reschedule. When I called they could not say whensomeone might be able to show up anytime in the near future.

We would give this roofer FFF if is was possible.  DON'T EVER use this company unless you want to pay thousands of dollars for a brand new roof and have it leak into you home, onto you furnishings, ruin you ceilings and walls, and the siding on your home.  That is what happened to us after using Code Red Roofers.

They breached our installation contract by not installing wall flashing as required which lead to continual leaking into our home every time it rained, around the dormers, around the chimney and at all places where the roof meets the wall.  They sent sub-contractors to install the roof that did not know the roofing codes and did not abide by our contract.

For 8 months we tried to get them to fix the problem they created; and they told us it was our problem.  We then hired a private roofing consultant at significant cost to determine the cause of the leaking and even then, Code Red would not honor the contract and properly fix our roof and repair the damages they caused.  In January 2015 we were informed Code Red would no longer work with us!! Over a year later we are out thousands of dollars over and above the $18,000 cost of the new roof just to make our roof water tight.  The interior and siding damages are still not fixed.  We will now have to take further steps to try to make ourselves whole again.

There are many, many other roofers out there.  Save yourself a lot of hassles, expense and aggravation and find someone else.  In fact, after this experience, we would never have another roof installed without a roofing consultant on board from the outset. 

I messaged Code Red Roofers on 5/13 and as of today I've not gotten a response. This request was urgent as I need to list my house for sale. Fortunately two other roofers responded quickly and one of them is taking care of my repair.

Tommy Kennedy was very nice and recommended different solutions to our issue. The price quoted was significantly more reasonable than another A list here on Angie's list. They pushed our job up because a storm was approaching and they didn't want any more water damage in the sunroom due to the leak. They were nice and performed and completed to our satisfaction.

Timely response to estimate request. Came out and looked at my roof. Received e-mail estimate 4hrs later. Advised me that my could project could start in one week. Everything completed as scheduled. Supervisor and crew totally professional. Highly recommended.

When my 17yo asphalt roof began to leak I decided it was time for a metal roof. I called about 5 companies with 4 showing up for actual estimates. Code Red was not the cheapest but their underlayment and flat roof materials were better quality than the others so in actuality they were the cheapest. They never actually saw my roof but estimated it through (they said) satellite imagery or county records or something, I'm still confused on that one. Their sales person Holly came by with my personalized estimate in a sharp looking folder. After some chit chat and haggling I gave her a deposit and signed on the dotted line. Holly was adamant that I call her if I ever had any problems or questions, that was her job. Oh shoot !! I forgot to ask Holly about some details in the agreement, I'll just call her. Over the next 3 days I must have called her 5 or 6 times with no response whatsoever. I even called her office and they got right through to her. She told the receptionist Becky to tell me she was sorry and would call me in 30 minutes. Ok I understand she was busy. 30 minutes goes by, an hour, 2 hours. She never called me back. I couldn't believe it. Code Red Roofers "We Respond " "We Care" "We show up " were a fraud !! That  was it. I was p*****. So I left a message on Holly's phone that the deal was quickly falling apart. Lo and behold an hour later Brian, the owner of Code Red, called me. I told him of my dissatisfaction with Holly and what the heck was going on yada yada yada and he just calmed me right down.
The job began on schedule with the rip off, dry in and flat roof work all done in a day. It was a neat job with minimal debris left about. 2 weeks later the metal roof was installed and it looked great. Neat, clean and straight. Next the gutters went on. Code Red subcontracts the gutter work out and it was a decent job, not great, but not bad either. There are still a few minor issues to correct with the roofing job but I'm not worried. I'm sure it will be resolved. All and all I'm happy with Code Red. They did what they said they would do, on time and on budget. Don't expect a hands on experience though. The upper echelon at Code Red are neither seen nor heard. Everything goes through Becky, the sweet girl at the front desk. Without Becky I would I think I would have killed myself. As far as I am concerned she is the glue that holds Code Red together. Becky I owe you a debt of gratitude. Whatever they pay you it's not enough :>)

They were the ones who had the best price.  They were good; they did a very good job.  The only thing that I did not care about them was that they gave us the quote, we were happy with it, we faxed it back to them and they said they would let us know when they would be here to do the work.  So I called them another time to let them know that since it is raining they need not start immediately and she said she would be let me know of their decision.  The next thing I know is that my neighbors calls me to say that there was somebody at my door step and I was not there.  So they showed up when they had the chance though it was raining but they never called me to tell me that they were going to be here because my husband wanted to be here when they did it.  That is my one complaint.  Other than that they did a good job.  The communication was not at its best.  It would have been really nice if they had called and told me when they were arriving.  But they don’t seem to do that.  It seems like that the salesman was good but the office was not that good at communicating about that.
