Cap Roofing LLC was contracted to replace and installed a new flat roof with a slope, since they started working the next day I ask to see the permit and I was told that no permit was required, so I went to the building department in the City of Lake Worth and I stopped the work. The roofer cover the stripped roof with old pieces of tarp that they were not properly nail or glue together ; I called then several times asking put a new tarp , just in case that we may get rain they did not return any calls and they do not have a voice mail. November 2, 2018 we have a lot of rain and my ceiling collapse I have water all over the enclosed patio, kitchen and some in the living room. One of the owners Julio Barahona come back November 03, 2018 (Saturday), to survey the damage, put a new tarp and he brought a drywall person to get an idea of the cost for all the damage to my home. Since then they change the name and telephone number of their company they were not returning my calls and they have 40% of the total price of the roof $5,878.26 ($2,351.30). I got a new roofer and due to the job abandonment and amount of damage I paid $9,500, however I still have a lot of damage to the inside of the house. I have two proposal with an estimated cost for the inside damage of $14,000. I hired another roofer and it cost me more due to the amount of damage!
