All work is performed by Ten Plus Service employees, no sub-contractors. 30 day warranty on all repairs. Factory service center for major brands including Pentair, Rheem, Heat Siphon and Jandy. Specializing in repairs and sales of pool gas heaters (N or LP), heat pumps, control and salt/chlorination systems. I asked Paul about the pool pump as well. He gave me advice on when to replace it, but did not try to find more work himself, or expense for me.

They could have easily pushed for the repairs, so that it was done with them. Instead they advised me what the best course to take would be, and they had no guarantees I would purchase the heat pump from them.
While they were on site, they also noticed my Navigator wasn't working correctly, and told me what the problem probably was, but as their rates were higher than many of the local pool stores, it would make more sense for me to take the cleaner locally for repairs, instead of paying them to fix it.
I did learn an important lesson from them -- in the future when I am going to buy an appliance or an automobile, I am going to ask the service department which units/cars they have performed the most repairs performed on, so I can be aware of potential future problems BEFORE I make the purchase. The sales department or the local store is not who is going to be honest about failures (if they in fact are aware of them), they just want the sale/comission. I had actually never realized this before how valuable the service techs are -- thanks Paul and Dexter of Ten Plus Service.

Judy sent a detailed estimate the next business day, including the Angie's List discount and offering to waive the service call fee for the first visit. The $2500 price seemed fair; it was less expensive than the old unit (purchased by a previous homeowner). I accepted their proposal on the condition that the work would be accomplished within nine days. Ten Plus Service made this happen. Paul and Dexter did an excellent job installing the new unit and the new gas line needed to supply it. They were pleasant to work with and readily answered my questions regarding various aspects of the installation. They showed me how to operate it and how its use can be coordinated with my solar panels. They hauled away the old unit and all trash.
Employing Ten Plus Service was a pleasure from start to finish. The heater is working very well, as evidenced by a 5 degree Fahrenheit water temperature increase over two hours, even with the outside air temperature below 60. I am very satisfied and will gladly hire them again.

First, she explained the billing was done in 30 minute increments, which concerned me at first, as I could forsee a very expensive repair, but true to her words, the service was completed in less than 30 minutes (the average service repair for Ten Plus).
While the tech was on-site, he also looked quickly at the other pool equipment to make sure he didn't see any other problems,
which it turned out I was having, as my pool pump was leaking slightly. He said he could do the repair or it might be less expensive to have my pool company take care of it, as it was a minor drip.
Ten Plus Service is honest, knowledgeable and courteous -- hope I never need their help again, but if I do, I will not hesitate to call them!

I have an older model pool heater & when the pool heater stopped working several years ago, it turned out to be the control panel. Since this is an older pool heater, I was worried I would have to replace the entire unit. The company had a control panel in stock and sold it to me with a great savings. They gave me such great service and the woman who I spoke to on the phone was very friendly and very helpful.

I had company arriving in just a few days and I wanted the pool to be warm. I was worried it was going to be the control panel, which is expensive and possibly, I would not be able to replace it this time. The owner of the company came out, found the problem & fixed it. He was on time, finished in a short time and the heater has been working fine.
I've used this company several times and they are ALWAYS very helpful. I would highly recommend Ten Plus Service.

"The member is incorrect, there was no additional charge for not having the part on the first visit. The part needed to complete the repair was on back order from the manufacturer due to the parts being under warranty thus we were unable to complete the repair. Due to this being a "stock" item, and not what we consider a "special order" item, we do not charge customers for a follow-up completion visit. Punctuality and responsiveness were out of our control on completion of the repairs."
