We couldn't be happier with the Small Moving Inc. experience. The entire Small Moving Inc. team was professional, from estimating through execution. The estimate was reasonable and what we expected and the moving team beat the estimate by two (2) hours. The team treated our furniture and belongings, and our home, as if they were their own. We will be using Small Moving Inc. if we move again and, we will be recommending them to our friends and family.

Overall, I was very pleased with their services. They gave us 60 minutes of work for every hour they charged and they were very careful with our furniture. We have high quality teak furniture and a solid travertine marble table top that weighs about 400 pounds and they were able to move it all without any damage. They also successfully moved our piano and a grandfather clock. The grandfather clock did wind up with a loose chain and they immediately offered to reimburse me for the cost of getting a clock specialist to place the chain back on the gears. They estimated 8 hours but completed the job in only 6 1/2 hours. Thank you to the 3 guys who moved us: Josh, Wayne and Chuck. Thanks also to Drake, the Sales Manager, who put my mind at ease and was patient in listening to my concerns with regards to our specialty items.

The experience was very good. When we first discussed prices and what we wanted to move, they were very helpful and said, that's exactly the kind of move we do! When we added some things they told us, no problem! In general, they were calm and did not create extra stress for what is usually a stressful situation.

I have had experiences with other moving companies where they come in, make a list of all items, and then start talking about cashiers checks and so forth and then wouldn't unload until they saw the check. These guys were happy to take a personal check for payment.

All in all I very much recommend this company for your small move!

They have performed service for me over the last 20 years.  They truly give you all of the 24hrs of work.  Work through the clock, no breaks. Great pricing, never have broken a single item over the last 20 years.  Movers were extremely cleanly, smart, courteous and even cleaned up after they left.   Have even moved me from office location to office location.  Very smooth transfers from office locations.  Unassembled and reassembled office furniture.  I would not even consider using anyone else. 

Movers were on time and courteous. During the move they accidentally broke three pieces of glass, two end-table tops and the door of an entertainment center. They took measurements for the end tables and took with them a second door from the entertainment center along with the hinges to be sure they drilled the door correctly. They said it would be two months. I called after three months and they had apparently lost everything and had no idea what I was talking about. They finally found the invoice and agreed they were obligated to replace the glass. A representative came out, re-measured, and took another glass door with hinges. A month later after hearing nothing, I called and was told that the hinges had been discontinued, so the new hinges wouldn't match the remaining ones. That was unacceptable, so they agreed to replace all the hinges and it would take another two months. I suggested that they could at least replace the table top glass. Finally in July I called again; couldn't get a status from them. Told them they had one day to call me back or I would take action. They didn't call. After seven months I'm still trying to get them to honor their guarantee regarding damage with absolutely no progress. And I still don't have the end-table glass which should not have been a problem at all. I will NEVER use this company again!

Three guys (two movers and a driver) from Small Moves showed up right on time. I had packed most everything in advance, but they took apart the bed and loaded the truck quickly and efficiently. I was especially satisfied with the care they took lifting my furniture and turning corners in the House -- I think this is the least damaging move (to both house and furniture) that I've had. I had several large, heavy pieces and they wrapped them and made sure they were secure for the trip (about 6 miles). Then they unloaded everything and put it into the storage space, again being careful that the heavy and unbreakable items were on the bottom and lighter, more fragile things on top. The whole thing took about 3.5 hours, and the movers were friendly and courteous the whole time.

The movers arrived on time as scheduled, they handled the furniture with good care, transported it, and set it in place with no damage. The whole move took approximately one half hour.

It went very well. Wayne and Mike showed up on time, and worked quickly and efficiently loading the truck. The unloading was the same.

I used this company in 2005 they charged me for 4 1/2 hours. I used them this time and they charged me for 10. I had a few more things, but not 10 hrs worth. They scratched my refrigerator & dented it. They gave me $100 off my bill but refused to actually pay for the door.

They advertise an hours work for an hours pay and that is no joke. DID GREAT!. They were meticulous about moving the furniture and made it easy. We hired them because the hallway is just too hard and we felt we would damage the furniture. Not A SCRATCH! Massive TV made it fine as well. Last time my husband moved it it was a $200 repair job to the floor.

We needed to hire a mover on short notice. My husband called and spoke with John on Monday, and we had the movers at our house on Wednesday. The movers were careful and organized. They offered suggestions for placement of some of our furniture. They were courteous and thorough.

They showed up when they said. They were extremely careful with my stuff, both putting into an out of the truck. They were fantastic. They were clean, quick, and attentive. I will highly recommend them to anyone. They were a bit more expensive than quoted because it took a bit more time, but overall the service was excellent.

If you could say moving is a pleasure, they made it so! They padded the banister in the new home so nothing got scratched. They listened to exactly what I said.

They were very reliable, responsible and friendly. Two men packed my POD storage using excellent packing techniques. They worked continuously until job was completed.

The first moving company I was going to go with, didn't even show up. This company showed up on short notice. They do excellent work.

They were on time, hard-working, and did not waste time. Only two items had any damage. I thought they did a good job overall, but I thought my mom was overcharged for an hour since the timing is not supposed to start until the mover is at your home. Other than that, we were pleased with their service.

This is the third time I've used them over 15 years. They are very nice. They park right out front and instead of walking, almost 'skip' so they can get done quickly. They are very up-front about their charges and how they do business. I think they are very good, and the men I've had move me are very nice. I did all of the packing, but they moved the clothes onto wardrobe mover and moved them.

THE TWO WORKERS WERE QUICK AND EFFICIENT AND TREATED ALL BELONGINGS WITH CARE. THEY WERE PATIENT IN ANSWERING MY MOTHER IN LAWS QUESTIONS AND UNPACKED AND SET UP UNTIL THE FURNISHING WERE ARRANGED ACCORDING TO OUR PREFERENCES.

I called on a Thursday, and John was very helpful and able to get someone to my house on Saturday. The team showed up on time and was extremely courteous and helpful. I was impressed by the fact that they went out of their way to do a good job and make sure I was completely satisfied before they left. I would definitely call this company again.

Most of the furniture was very heavy and very complex to take apart and put back together. Some of it was very delicate. The men were very fast, professional, and skilled at taking the furniture apart and assembling it. I have moved many times, and this is the best experience I've ever had.

They were extra professional, on time, clean, neat, hard working, fast, and very careful.
