The entire process including the design work, cost estimate, communication about the progress of the job and the quality of the work were all outstanding. I would RCI again and highly recommend them.

He was great. He came out, fixed my little problem with my door and did not charge me that much for me. He was very fast, very efficient and fit me right in.

I made an appointment with Chris over a week ago to provide an estimate on a remodeling job I want done on my house. He gave me his first available day and time slot and I wasn't available for the time he offered but we agreed on a later time. He then calls me the day of the appointment to say he can't make it at the time we agreed because he didn't realize he put me in between two jobs in MIami (I live in Broward). I said no problem and we rescheduled for later in the afternoon. He texts me a minute before the appointment to tell me that traffic is heavier than usual and he would be 15 minutes late. I said ok. He then calls 30 minutes later saying he had just gotten off the highway and was on his way. I give him directions on the quickest way to get to my house and he responded,"My GPS tells me me to take Powerline." I said ok. I figured he knew what he was doing. 15 minutes later he calls again to tell me he's lost and again I give him specific directions. Another 15 minutes later he texts me saying, "I got lost, sorry we're gonna have to cancel." I told him that was fine and figured we would reschedule. I get a message from him via Angie's List today stating,"The address that you provided points to a spot on a street intersection where the surrounding house numbers do not correspond with the given house number. Please check with google maps to correct your home's location if you would like to reschedule an appointment for an estimate with us." If this guy was using a GPS why does he care about the other addresses on the street?!? The GPS should lead him right to my door. I have NEVER had an issue with anyone finding my house. Google Maps reflects the correct position of my house. Had he really listened when I gave him directions (twice!) there would not have been a problem. Now he wants to indirectly blame me for his getting lost. Real class act. Him not arriving to the appointment was a blessing in disguise. I can only imagine how he would have tried to pass the buck had something gone wrong on the project.
Response from RCI Design & Construction, Inc.

"We attempted to locate the address given by this member but were unable to find it. In an attempt to correct the problem we suggested that she may have given an incorrect address or that google maps may have misplaced it's marker for her property. Apparently instead of trying to correct her mistake she blamed us and left this review. Searching her name through property records revealed that she had mixed up the order of the house numbers that she provided to us. Obviously we initially need our clients to provide us with their correct name and address, the rest will be our responsibility."

Everything that was under the control of RCI Design and Construction went exactly according to plan. By the time the job could get started, we were well into the rainy season in south Florida, so weather was a limiting factor sometimes, as was the time waiting for interim inspections to be done before the next step in the process could be taken. The original time estimate was around 6 weeks; the job took 5 weeks and we are waiting for final inspection now.
I can not say enough in praise of Matt Raiszadeh, the architect and president of RCI, his son Chris (the job foreman) and the rest of the crew. From my first phone contact with Matt I had confidence in what he told me would be required; how just the process of getting the permit for this type of deconstruction/ reconstruction would be a large chunk of change and time. Knowing this ahead of time really helped in keeping patient, especially since hurricane season had started. Matt explains EVERYTHING that is going to happen and why. He was always available by phone, and frequently called me first with updates, even if there was only a minor alteration to the plan.
In summary, I am thrilled with my new garage. Matt takes great pride in doing only the highest quality work with attention to detail. This alone is great, but he and Chris are also two of the nicest people you would ever want to know. I did have to pay about 25% more than I was hoping to, but I feel that the end result and the steps required to reach the goal (and the complete confidence I had in Matt's plan and leadership) help justify the cost.

There were MANY process steps to go through to get this work done. Fortunately, Matthew from RCI understands these processes and has developed good relationships with people in both the municipal and county agengies. RCI provided solid plans for the work to be done, but also proved to be a valuable asset in working through the maze of government agency requirements, paperwork, permitting and regulations. The project, although small, took many months to complete due to multiple requests from the county and the city, and to coordination issues between the construction company and the property tenants. RCI kept me informed along the way and went out of their way to ensure that all issues were addressed properly. The project was a very difficult one for me because so many road blocks kept popping up, but RCI helped to keep things moving forward and on track. I'm not sure if the project would have been completed without the knowledge and assistance of RCI. The final product was a good quality dock installation with all of the permitting issues handled. I am very pleased with the final result.
