JR Pavers

Please believe the negative reviews here. I hired JR Pavers to clean, sand and re-seal my 4400 Square feet of pavers. They charged top dollar so I expected top shelf work and professionalism. I have owned my home for 25 years. This company performed the most sloppy and damaging work to my property than I have ever seen. For starters, they drove the dumpster through my yard and tore up our front lawn. There were some rain delays after they had applied the sand so most of it ran off into the streets and my garden beds. They did not apply any more. Instead they rushed over during a window of clear weather to apply the sealer. Once finished I allowed it to dry overnight to inspect. What I found was the ACRYLIC sealer had been applied uneven and very sloppy throughout the entire property. I now have pavers that have the look of white spray paint and an uneven finish. Worse, the pavers around my pool are so slick when wet that it is unsafe to be on them, especially when barefoot. They threw trash in my beds, used my hoses instead of their own, throwing my nozzles they removed into the garden beds so we had to search for them for the pressure washing, damaged a trellis leading under my deck. They sealed our pool basket lid shut and did not move a gate but sealed around it. They admitted the work was completely unacceptable but refused to return my 50% payment. Buyer beware this company is completely unprofessional start to finish.

We gave JR Pavers 2 stars because we are very happy with the look of our driveway, patio and sidewalk, however, this came at a price. JR Pavers cost us $13,000 in damages, in addition to what we paid them. • $500 to repair the sprinkler lines and heads they cut and broke. One line they cut and then installed pavers over the top of it so when we turned on the sprinklers, it pushed the pavers up. • $3,500 to repair the wastewater line they cut and removed. • $9,000 to remove a tree so badly damaged by them the city arborist said it had to be cut down. We paid for “Root Grinding” to have some tree roots in the area of the pavers ground out and removed. We were told they would have a tree trimming contractor come take care of these roots. Instead, JR Pavers just pried up and broke the roots off with a forklift blade. They caused so much damage the tree was deemed unstable and had to be removed. For anyone looking to hire JR Pavers, be prepared to watch everything they do to limit damage to your property. They do a good job installing pavers but have no regard for anything else.

We hired JR Pavers to resurface our 1,500 sf pool deck. They turned a dismal concrete slab into our own backyard oasis! For this reason, and the ones listed below, we are very happy to give them our highest recommendation. Customer Service: Lindsay from JR Paving was quick to respond to our initial inquiry. She promptly came to our house, took accurate measurements, answered all of our questions, then provided us with an accurate quote. Scheduling: Materials for the job were ordered on the day we approved the proposal. They were delivered on time and the work started on schedule. The entire job was finished earlier than we expected. Quality of Work: Carlos and his crew displayed an attention to details so often lacking in many of today’s contractors. They took painstaking efforts to make sure the patio had the right pitch and drained correctly. Intricate cuts were made to ensure the paving stones wrapped neatly around support columns, drain grates, and electrical equipment. “Craftsmanship” is not a term often used today but it best describes JR Pavers’ performance. Cleanliness/Respect for Personal Property: The crew from JR Pavers staged their equipment and materials so neither would be in our way or damage our personal property. They cleaned up after themselves and left our home in as good a shape as they found it. Conclusion: Every aspect of JR Pavers was a pleasure to deal with. I can’t wait until they can come back and redo our driveway!

Overall quality of workmanship was ok, not bad but not flawless. Owner could have been more professional and could have offered suggestions for a more finished product. Left edges if pavers unfinished and we have had a handful of pavers pop up.

Overall we were not very satisfied with their service. It was very difficult to get a hold of them. At one point we were nervous they wouldn't finish the job - started it and then stopped work. We had the pavers in the driveway blocking the garage for about 3 weeks (we hired them to do a walkway and near our driveway). They damaged the sprinkler line in 3 different areas, so we had to hire someone to fix it - no money taken off for that. The walkway looks ok, but there were areas on the side where they added additional slivers of brick to fill in, so it looks kind of sloppy. I would not hire them again sadly.

Perfect from start to finish.

Freaking amazing work they did. Really beautiful work. They also leveled out the extra dirt which was made by installing the pavers, getting the yard ready for sod to be installed next.

Not good...this company has no clue about customer service and felt totally ripped off

Lowest bid on the project. The brick pavers look great.  Lindsay was pretty responsive (but not great) during the project until final payment was made.  Unfortunately JR Pavers did not forewarn us of the damage that would take place during the construction.  Part of the front lawn was torn up by the bobcat pulling up old concrete.  The in-ground sprinkler system was damaged in several places during the construction.  I would have been much happier to have known in advance that this was going to happen.  All in all, the pavers look great, but the job took longer than expected, and I was left with some repair work that I wasn't expecting.
