The Verandahs of brighton bay

I had to move to St Petersburg to start a new job. Didn't have the chance to fly down ahead of time to look at places, but a friend did so I ended up choosing one of the places she looked at. The verandah's isn't a terrible apartment complex, but I've learned that there are far more reasonable/nicer places to live in St Petersburg since moving in. It's acceptably spacious, reasonably quiet, and decently appointed. The staff appears very friendly, but several times failed to fulfill their obligations.
My apartment wasn't ready when promised, leaving me outside for hours waiting to move in. I was told the carpet needed to be cleaned. Ultimately, it turned out the carpet had been cleaned, just no one was aware of it. In several instances, packages were held at the office without leaving a slip in my mailbox, contrary to policy. I don't always know if a package is going to arrive (does anyone?), had to get in the habit of periodically dropping by the leasing office and asking if there was anything for me.
It hasn't been a bad year here, but knowing the area now and how much better I could do, I wouldn't live here again.
