Champion Greens

We had a large putting green, chipping areas, driving pad, and aesthetic landscaping done by Matt and his team. In every way they exceeded expectations, not just thru their installation, but their creativity and design skills took what we had in our mind to a whole different level. They helped change a normal backyard into our own little resort we never want to leave.

They are very professional and friendly. They let you know what you need to know about the install and why. I find their price to be compatible to other company's, don't be fooled by the low half the price company's. The yard looks fantastic.

We made the mistake of not finding Champion Greens first. Long story short, we had to have them come out and fix some problems left by another company. Guys did and amazing job. Fast, polite and solved all of our problems. Have already recommended them to a few people.

Matt and his crew did an awesome job. Workers cleaned up every day of project. They were very accommodating even with a few minor changes during the project. Matt was available by phone to discuss any aspect of the job while in progress even when on vacation as the job came to a close with his workers!

Matt is a true craftsman. He put in efforts that even my neighbors gave comments. From the start of the design through the installation Matt made sure you understood and approved of what was happening. I could not be happier with the installation and the superior quality of product and workmanship. There is nobody else I would recommend.

Matthew, Sarah, and Gilbert were great.in spite of the heat, which would have sent most people home. They did a very professional job. They put in the extra effort to make everything work. The area is perfect and more than what I hoped for.

Matt was super professional from first phone call and meeting at my home to discuss project start to finish. He even asked me to stop at a current job he was doing to see the process, and look over the quality of materials we chose which I did and that sealed the deal for me. Matt is awesome to work with, not only knows what he is doing but is passionate about doing it right. From the removal of old grass and layers of dirt to make room for the new layers of base he puts down before turf install he was hands on and fun to work with explaining everything along the way. The completed job is awesome and well beyond the quality and look we expected. Matt even helped me reinstall a back gate which turned out was too low for turf. A super guy and install. I will put it this way, if you do not use Matt at Champion Greens for your turf install, you will be making a mistake. Paul S.

I reached out to 5 companies for quotes. Champions Greens was one of two that actually came out to look at the area. They were the only company to take the time to discuss the project in full. We did have some delays in getting the project started but the delays were understandable and well communicated. Project has been completed and I am extremely happy. The area looks great. I was even given some advice on how to handle some other areas of my yard.

We had our yard completed a year ago, March 2021. I waited a year to write the review to make sure our experience could be summarized over the long term. Initially, we had three quotes for our lawn. Matt's price was middle of the road. We chose him, though, as he was WAY more involved in discussing the lawn, installation, drainage, etc. vs 'selling us' on artificial turf and the installation being an afterthought. He gave us several lawn choices, pros and cons to each, all for almost the same price. Other people did not. He talked about how we would drain our almost 1500 square foot backyard to be covered in turf and what would be done so we would not have dips/water retention after a big rain storm. I can attest one year later, lots of rain, NEVER had a problem with standing water. So he may not be the cheapest, but he will be the job that is most thoughtful, start to finish. We recently had him come back to help maintain the lawn, using his power broom to make it look just like new again! It was already in almost new state even before he came. I often see artificial turf installed and it looks awful since people do not do what it takes to keep it maintained or had a bad install. Not our yard. Yes, this was an investment. But the low maintenance and GORGEOUS outdoor space he created was worth it and will save us money in the long run. This winter we sat in the yard, dogs running around playing on the turf, our friends socializing around our Solo stove on the deck we built with the turf around it.... heaven! Thank You Matt!

Work was done earlier than anticipated. Matt was good about staying in touch. Both Matt and Dave were pleasant and friendly. We feel they did a quality job on installation.

Matt came personnally to evaluate scope of work, give advice and spec/quote project. He stayed in contact throught out entire process including delays due to COVID and hurricanes that impacted everyone. He was meticulous with everything! He and his right hand man Robbie did a fabulous job and we couldn't be happier with our decision! HIGHLY Recommend!!!!

This Company did an outstanding job, they were very professional, offered great suggestions, were very courteous, always on time and when they were through they completely cleaned up. We would recommend this company to anyone.

Good working with them

Matt is extremely experienced and very professional. Pays attention to every little detail as if he was working on his own property. My husband and I would definitely recommend him to anyone who would like artificial grass installed. Matt did an awesome job! I could not be happier with the finished product. No surprises and everything completed in a timely manner. No going behind the contractor to pick up leftovers. I will definitely recommend this company and would give them 10 stars if I could.

I hate doing negative reviews but I also hate spending money on a bad product. First of all, I was surprised to see that this company is still doing work and receiving reviews. Matt Hallo told us that he sold the company and has pretty much written us off. Here is my story. After meeting with many different turf companies in town and getting estimates from many competing companies, we decided to hire Matt and Ace Golf Scapes to do our backyard remodel. He was bright, charismatic and gave us a good deal on the product, we thought we had hit the jackpot. We contracted Matt and Ace Golf Scapes to install turf in our backyard and do some light flagstone work in May. Wow what a mistake. By the end of the install, we were regretting our decision. The workmanship and the quality of the product were so disappointing. We even had to have his guys come back a couple of times and try to fix some issues. I say try, because there are still many issues. Don't do business with him, he will sell you the dream but once his guys come to do the work, it is sloppy, unprofessional and disappointing.

Very professional ,great work, and on time

Matt Hallo is an individual not to be trusted! After spending over $4000 with his company to have turf placed in my backyard. His product and install has failed the test of monsoon season in Arizona. I have attempted to reach out to Matt for a entire week so that he can resolve my issue. My turf is no longer safe for my children play on. I look forward to potentially hearing a sorry excuse from Matt. If he will not stand behind his product. Then you should not buy it to stand on.
