I hired Better Homes Remodeling after meeting the owner at the home show. He came to our home and gave us an estimate and we liked him and hired him to do our kitchen remodel. I was told our site manager would be JD. I assume JD worked for Better Homes. In reality he was the owner of Staley Transformations. So Better Homes actually passed my job on to another contractor without my knowledge. Things went downhill from the very beginning. The workers didn't show up the first day, substandard painters were hired to paint my cabinets and the paint peeled immediately and new painters were brought in to fix the mess. My 4 week project turned into 12 weeks. Some changes were made and I was double charged several times. The owner of Better Homes Remodeling never came to check on the project or even asked if I was happy. I only heard from him when another payment was due. This project turned into a costly nightmare.
