Alex, owner of Silva Homes, was the only contractor to immediately call me back when I requested quotes from a number of contractors. He came out to see me the next day and provided a written quote within 3 days. (I am still waiting to hear from one contractor and did not receive a call or quote from the other) The job was complex. I had a tile roof that had to match the existing roof. This did not present a problem for him. He always told me when his sub-contractor would be at my home. They always cleaned up after their work. In addition he never left his sub-contractors unsupervised, in many instances working along with them. I had quite a few changes as the job progressed. Alex dealt with each change professionally and in many instances suggested viable alternatives. Unlike most contractors I could always get him on his cell phone. On the infrequent occasion where I had to leave a message, he would always immediately call me back. I rarely recommend any contractor, but Alex, owner of Silva Homes, comes highly recommended by me.

Architectual plans took a lot longer than expected, but once permits were issued work progressed smoothly.  Alex is a very detailed
hands on  builder.  His work crew are excellent as well.   A lot of respect between the workers and Alex Silva. Very pleasant to work with him and his staff.  I would recommend them for any new build or remodel.

Alex is the most professional builder I've ever worked with (previous building projects in Missouri and California).  He was always responsive and prompt throughout the entire process, every suggestion he made was an improvement on our plans.  Every promise made was completed on time, to our satisfaction, and on budget.  He was unbelievably responsive to every question and kept us completely informed throughout the project.  His relationship with his working crew was exceptional.  Perhaps most impressive is his followup.  He has continually stayed in contact with us to ensure we have encountered no problems long after the construction was complete. From start to finish he completely reduced our stress and actually made our building project enjoyable.   I highly recommend Silva Homes for any construction or repair project; he would be my first and last call.

Alex did a fantastic job from start to finish. Excellent communication throughout the project and worked with us through any complications that arose. Alex was always coming by to check on the progress. I am extremely pleased with the final product and would highly recommend Silva homes. Alex Silva is a true professional.

Enjoyed working with Alex.  A beautiful addition on the house totally balanced it out. everyone on this project  worked long and hard to achieve the final result that I love. I get more compliments on the beautiful addition.

Overall, wonderful!  Alex handled everything.  He was here daily and on top of it all.  He was very hands on thru the whole process.  I would highly recommend him.

Alex Silva acted as my general contractor in a major remodel.  His main function seemed to be guarding me against my mistakes.  He realized that the kitchen "foot print" would change if I remodeled later rather than before I started the tile work I had originally called him for.  My "well how much" was always answered with a series of creative choices and very reasonable prices.   Alex subcontracted a lot of the work and did some of it himself. His subs were courteous gentlemen.  No cussing!  
We remodeled the kitchen, bathrooms and tiled house throughout,  Alex helped me most by  the suggestions he made for accommodations for my husband's disability as we remodeled the bathrooms.  We tiled the showers, one with handicap features like wheelchair access and grab bars.  He consulted with my husband about the height and angle of the grab bars until they were "just right."  He told me about articulated hinges for the bedroom door and then installed them for me.  He raised the kitchen ceiling and got rid of the popcorn.  He had new lighting installed in the kitchen, dining room, hall and both baths.  When he needed to use a jackhammer, I got a POD and his men helped me load and unload it. He took on the odd things I needed done too.  There were some "out of place" cracks in the outside of the fireplace chimney.  He knew the moment he looked at it what was wrong and how to fix it.  He removed an ancient air conditioner from the wall of the FL room and walled it up.  When he finished there was no sign of the hole, inside or out.
Alex took pride in his work and his "subs" did, too.  I would hire them again in a minute!
