Backgroung: since moving into this area over five years ago, I have always purchased ALL my pool supplys from this store which is close to my gated communnity. These purchases included such items as a pool sweeper, flotation devices, pool toys, more brushes then I need, and an endless supply of the various types of chemicals used for cleaning, sanitizing, and maintenance. Included in these items was liquid chlorine (usually about one container a week in the warmer months). At first you purchase the molded, plastic bottles (which are the approximate size of large milk bottles); thereafter, you pay only to have them re-filled. On this given day, I took in four plastic containers with the objective to getting them re-filled with the liquid chlorine. Usually, I bring in two containers at a time; however, this time I brought in four. Of the four, two of the containers were of an older style previously purchased at this store some time ago. After purchasing these older containers and leaving them on my lanai floor overnight, I noticed that one of the containers had a small leak in it's molded seam; so, I immediately emptied it into my pool. The following week I used the fluid in the other container. Later that month while passing the store, I puchased two more chlorine bottles which were in a new "shorter" style. So, now I had four plastic bottles....two of the new style and two of the older ones which included the "leaker". Now, when I brought the four units back to the store for re-fills, I told the young man who was going to fill the containers that one of the older units had a leak (which was the way they originally sold it to me); and, had to be replaced. At this point the manager jumped in and said that I would have to pay for a new container. He went on further to say that I didn't buy the "older" containers at this store. I countered that I did indeed purchase them at this store. And, athough the container's purchase price is fairly nominal, I will not accept the fact that this man was virtually calling me a liar. Rather than arguing with someone who was definitely lacking in customer relations, I decided to leave the store with the comment that they just lost a good customer. Again, as I stated at the start, I never shopped in a pool supply store other then this one since moving into this area over five years ago. But, I will never shop here again. Not if this is the way they treat their customers.
