Surly daughter accompanied owner on the inspection and made it known that she was in a great hurry to leave. Owner was more interested in getting referrals from my agent than talking with me about the inspection. He was very responsive up front in order to get my business, but did not respond to my questions about the report after receiving his money. I have hired many inspections and usually tag along to learn about the findings and ask questions as we go. Never had a problem with that. This person made it clear through his actions that he didn't want me around, even though I asked prior and he said it would be no problem. Inspection itself was faster and less thorough than others - wrapping up in just over an hour. On his first page of his report, he said the house was over 25 years old even though it was build in 2002. Never heard back from him after pointing that out and asking him to correct. He also sent me a different report than he sent to my agent (mine was missing some information about a damaged window). The information in an inspection report is yours - the buyer's - to distribute as you see fit. An inspector should never send your report to anyone else without getting your permission first. I eventually did get the expanded report sent to me but without any input or communication from the inspector himself. Would not recommend.
