Meyer who sold us the job said he's sold over 5000 jobs to date and assured us we'd be happy.
2) ....... The process went well as the workers sprayed on the so called Miracle Coat finish and then finished the job with
an Acrylic Sealer, but about a month after the completion of the work, we started to notice something was bleeding
through the so called Miracle Coat Resurfacing product they used. We tried calling James Meyer
( President of the company ) which we had to leave a message due to no one being in the office, if there's
really an office, we waited a couple of weeks for a return phone call, which finally did come. Mr. Meyer
was informed by me of the job not being right and we had a problem with something bleeding
through ... he said he would come to look at it, but when he finally did, I guess a couple of weeks after
our conversation, he didn't know what to say, other than he would send someone back to
stain the entire patio to cover up any bleed through that was occurring. Now keep in mind that he was
going to STAIN our cement decking, over the Miracle Coat he put on, but when I questioned the worker
as to what kind of stain he was using, his reply to me was, " I'm using a regular cement stain from
Lowe's or Home Depot ". So here we paid $ 1,450.00 for this so called Miracle Coat and wound up getting
a regular stain from home depot, but that's not the worst of it, before the staining
began, I told the worker that he should not be doing this staining at this time due to a rain storm approaching, but
his comment was " it will be ok, it's a quick drying stain and I've done it before ", well, as he was staining, the rains
came and he continued to stain my decking in the rain, the job was under a deck, but with the wind and
the rain coming down, the decking did not protect the wet stain. Needless to say, after his staining was done, I
guess it was about a week or so, the decking started to blister, so I contacted James Meyer again and notified him
or our problem, and also mentioned to him that the job was done in the rain, so he decided to come to take
a look at our newest problem, which again took a couple of weeks for him to come to see it. When he saw the
blistering of the stain that his worker painted on in the rain, his comment was, well, I'll send him back to stain
the decking again. I agreed at first, but after another week or so following the staining process that was done in the
rain, we began to see blistering over the entire decking and peeling in various areas due to the stain never drying
properly because of the job being done in the rain. I'm thinking, why should let him use a stain after paying for
a special product that was supposed last for many years, or as Mr. Meyer put it, " a lifetime".
With all the issues we had, and the poor workmanship done by Mr. Meyer's workmen, we decided to ask for a full
refund of the $ 1,450.00 job since our decking was ruined and we would have to hire someone to remove the
the Miracle Coat Resurfacing product along with the stain, but when I requested a refund, Mr. Meyer's reply to me
was " WE DO NOT GIVE ANYONE A REFUND " but we'd be willing to repaint your decking " well, I'd have to be
out of my mind to have these people come back to my home to do anything .... so our next step is to sue Mr. Meyer
in a court of law and provide the courts with photos of our poorly done job. When I mentioned that I was going to
sue him for a refund, his comment was " go right ahead, we've been sued before ".
I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy .... the workmanship is very poor, Mr Meyer will sweet
talk you when looking for a contract from you, but afterwards, WATCH OUT ... as you've heard many times I'm sure,
BUYER BEWARE .... This is definitely a company you should stay away from.
"Job is +-600 sf. We have gone over several 100 jobs that have been painted, and the original coating adhered very nicely to the painted surface, This job, however, must have been painted several times with one of the paints being an unusual base paint like a product not designed for concrete, such as an oil based product. I would like to point out that our product did cover the concrete, although, I felt that we should address the Cosmetic Problem, thus a Sherwin Williams Stain which we have used successfully many times. The only thing that occurred at this point is that during our installation we encountered rain! We have to deal with moisture all of the time in FL. The stain developed slight bubbles! The correction is to let it dry out then apply a second coat. The owner refused to let my installer complete this task I informed to the owner that it is our obligation to apply any number of coats to complete the job to our standards. I don't care how many it takes. We always honor our warranty, His solution was that he wanted his money back!!! This is a very minor problem and I informed him that it can be resolved quite easily. He mentioned Taking me to Court, which I have been several times as a Cement Engineer for two major Cement Production Companies. I would like to go on record to assure him we are very capable of solving this problem and still offer our standard warranty. He did find it comical that we have been in the Decorative Concrete Business for 18 years in the Tampa bay area with over 5000 successful Projects, and we have never had to give a Contract Amount back due to our inability to perform!"
