JOE'S HOME IMPROVEMENTS

Contacted Mr. Joe Jasiak for estimate to do chimney repair. Joe examined damage and explained in depth what the damage was and what was required to repair. Also explained there is a possibility that more damage may exist after loose stucco is removed, such as rotting wood, rusted lath and flashing damage. He estimated the job would take around four hours to finish providing there is no severe unseen damage. His estimate was $ 200 plus cost of material. Completed job was within the range of estimate and gave detailed list of materials used. Total job cost was $268.56.

Contacted Mr. Jasiak to provide an estimate on removal of old sink and installation of a new sink. Estimate was $85 providing no complications or problem an approximate one to two hour job. Immediately discovered shut off valves were inoperable and the water would have to be shut off at the main valve. Valves replaced, main faucet had to be replaced. Sink opening had to be modified and adjoining cabinets had to be modified. Additionally, drain pipe configuration had to be modified and pipe replaced. Overall numerous problems were encountered and the job took twice as long to complete. This included time that I had to leave and purchase some of the replacement items.
