One of the things we liked the most is they made no promises about how far or fast our listing would get to page one. Although that may be seem strange to many, we liked that they were honest and did not provide false promises as so many other companies that have called us have done.
In addition, they have been very responsive and quick to make slight website changes (pricing on specials, wording, etc.).
But then Chris, while in the middle of working on one of our websites that we had paid him a deposit to work on, Chris disappeared and stopped working. He would not return phone calls or answer our emails. Chris abandoned us and our project completely. To this day we have no idea why Chris stopped working and disappeared.
What was especially troubling is that we started experiencing problems with one of our websites that required the server password to fix. Chris was the only person who knew the server password, as he never provided it to us. Despite our desperate need, Chris would not respond to our repeated requests for that password so we could fix our website. We sent Chris, and his coworker Tiny, numerous email messages over a several month period begging for the password. No response from Chris or Tina. Likewise, we tried to call them both at every phone number we had and left numerous messages over a several month period. Still no return phone call, despite our urgent pleas. CQuinn Designs (cquinndesigns.com) left us completely hanging.
Chris and CQuinn Designs are unreliable. I CANNOT recommend using them for any project. We normally would not take the effort to leave a negative review, but we wanted to warn others so no one else will suffer a similar experience.
"This is in dispute status with Angieslist and we will do everything in our power to come to a fair resolution between our company and this member. While this report is in dispute status, I would like to point a few things out. I always answer the phone and email either immediately, or within the same business day. If you don't hear from me, you can count on someone from my company giving you a call to tell you why I or one of my team members is not available. The member states that I did not deliver anything to her. I can assure you that we have a website ready to be launched in our possession for the member. The member was fully aware of the need to adjust the budget. We told her in the beginning that this was a custom project and that while we try not to go over budget, we cannot guarantee or foresee the fact that we will go over budget. When we knew we were going to exceed the budget, we contacted the member and told her so, she agreed to the new budget and paid us another deposit to resume the work. The reason the site was not launched in May was because the member added a significant amount of work to the site and she was in the process of hiring an outside consultant because she required a more hands on approach to her web design project that we could not provide because of geographical reasons. The member was unable to conform to working remotely and needed someone to be by her side to explain to her more fully the design process and what we needed to complete her website project. This is totally fine for a customer to do. If you feel that you need a more hands on approach, then you should hire a local company. She obviously chose us for a reason, which is why we won the contract. If you are reading this, and you are concerned about doing business with us, then we invite you to read our other Angieslist reviews or call us on the phone. If I don't answer the first time, we will give you a 10% discount on your next services you sign up for us with! CQuinnDesign is a Christian, family-based company with values, goals and integrity. While we can't please everybody, we certainly do try to. Often we go above and beyond and we hope that we can resolve the complaints that this member has brought to us."
This testimonial is certainly well deserved and very much over-due. I have selfishly been keeping CQuinn Design my Little business secret over a year now and for that I do apologize to them and all you readers.
