He came out on March 8th for one hour and charged $95. It turned out the problem came back so he returned and spent another hour on it. He said he would take it home with him and have HP send a mailing container and have them fix it under the warranty. He charged me an additional $30 to send it to HP. Four days later on the 10th, he calls me to return the computer. I said you did all that in 4 days? He stated the computer has a problem that HP does not repair under the warranty. He returned it to me on 4/14 and was here for another two hours clicking on this and that. He disconnected the computer and took it home again charging me another $125. Later, HP called me to close my case. They said if this particular technician tries to charge me in regards to the warranty, I am to let them know immediately. Today, he has been paid $345 and he has the computer. He returned today on 4/16, set it up and left. He has COMPLETELY altered the computer so that I have no idea how to print an email, delete an email, and I don't know if I am coming or going. I am going to send the computer to HP to have them return it back to the original settings. I will definitely never use him again.
Response from ComputeRx LLC
"Please don't spread inaccurate information. You were changed $95.00 for a house call which resolved your issues at the time. You called me back a month later with different issues. I reset your computer back to the original settings for $125.00 for a total paid $220.00, not the $345.00 plus you claim. You were never charged the $30.00 or the $345.00 that you mention in your review. That is just not true. It was clear from my visits to your home that you will never be satisfied with any work done on your computer. You stated you weren't satisfied with the company you purchased it from, they overcharged you, that their on site service was poor, just as you are now claiming mine is. After spending hours with you, I am not going to teach you how to print an email or delete an email using Windows 10 at no charge. The most accurate statement in your review is that "I don't know if i am coming or going." You are just one of those people who will never be satisfied. I'm sorry you believe you had a poor experience however, it was clear you were never going to be satisfied with anything that I or anyone else will do for you."

Brought in a computer purchased on eBay that was missing software to connect to WiFi. Dave installed the software and got it running beautifully. I have used their services in the past and find them to be honest and ethical. They never mislead you and are totally honest in their repairs and never ever do more than you need just to make more money. They appreciate that we are all on a budget and keep your computers going at minimal cost. I recommend them highly.

Very happy with Computer Rxj! I sent my 1 year old laptop in to a warranty repair center, who replaced the hard drive. As soon as I received back - I had a few problems with it. They told me to take it someplace local for repair - and I'm so glad I used Computer Rx. Friendly group who know what they are doing! They patiently answered my questions, gave me some good tips, and fixed all the problems. Fee was very reasonable, along with a quick turnaround. I was very pleased with this company and staff - will definitely use them again! Highly recommended!

It took about two hours to initially set up all of the data. More time was needed as the technician had to leave and the owner (boss) continued with the rest of the changes from his office using a and quot;Go To Assistand quot; icon that the tech inserted on my home screen. It is an amazing device that they can use now, but it can never be activated for him to use unless I double click on the icon in the first place to activate it on my end.
As I have quite a few and quot;Favoritesand quot; as well as names in my email list, it took him awhile to complete the copying of all the data to my new lap top. I was quite pleased with the outcome. Also, my home screen, now using the old style windows 7 screen and its icons rather than the boxes on windows 8 is far easier to use and more enjoyable. Mind you, I still have all of the updated info that comes with the new windows 8, other than the screen with the boxes.

My sister, brother and I wanted to give Mom a different computer for Christmas. However we are all scattered around the country and don't live anywhere near Mom. So I added the Tampa Bay area on to my Angie's List membership (which is in Milwaukee, WI) and looked for computer people in Mom's area. I contacted 4, who all responded. My siblings and I chose ComputerRX from among them as the best response. He was willing to do the work for a reasonable price. We dubbed him 'Detail Guy', as his response was so business-like and detailed.
When I contacted him to actually set up the time, he was willing to come to Mom's house, a considerable distance from his shop, on a SATURDAY, the one day that I was going to be visiting Mom!!!
Roger was there much longer than he had thought, trying over and over to install a very old scanner that my Mom had never used anyway. We finally decided that it wasn't worth following up on that any more. The software was too old. Roger was willing to explain everything he was doing, and was willing to do whatever we asked. I was so impressed with his patience in teaching my Mom what to do and how to do it on her new equipment. Now Mom is not very technologically inclined...She doesn't need to be at 86 yrs. old. But she came away from this experience with the knowledge to surf the net and send and receive emails from family and friends on her new computer.
I'm so glad that Roger also set up her computer so that he could access it any time remotely. Mom needed to call him a few days later to have him help with her email program....He did that quickly and competently from his office.
Roger could have charged us much more money for all the time he spent with us! But he stuck very closely to his quoted price--which was a very good deal for us.
I highly recommend ComputerRX. Roger is very knowledgeable, patient, businesslike and willing to help. We couldn't be more pleased!!!!
