Kron & West Air Conditioning

I had a new AC unit installed by Kron & West about 8 and a half years ago, and have their extended warranty. I am super happy with my AC unit and I also have the regular maintenance done every 6 months. Brad K. Is the one who comes regularly and he is very polite, knowledgeable, does excellent work and is very customer service oriented. My brother recommended Kron & West to me years ago, and they are great. Very good at what they do and very honest. I have recommended them to my friends and colleagues needing a great AC company, and will continue to do so. Thank you!

We had an extremely favorable experience. They had excellent communications, a very fair price, and a pleasant installation experience. After another vendor would not return my call, I contacted Kron and West through Angie's List and they even contacted me on a Sunday to acknowledge my request for an estimate. The inspector from the City commented that all the Kron and West installs that he sees are a cut above the rest.

Great as always. Took the time to investigate in a small attic (not an easy job) why one room did not cool-found contractor who did a recent remodel drywalled over an air duct. They opened the area and installed the vent cover, room cool again. Installed kitchen hood vent. Cleaned up. Pleasant to deal with. Thanks.

Very professional and honest. The only company that pointed out that old wiring would not support a heat pump that we thought we wanted. Did not try to upsell systems we didn't need for the size of our home. Surprised us with upgraded system at no cost due to our wait for install appointment. Made sure that everything was working before they left (including washer and dryer that was moved). Cleaned up area during and after installation. Company representatives stopped by immediately after installation to make sure everything was satisfactory. This will be the only company we use in the future for HVAC needs due to our trust in their quality and honesty.

There was an issue with the system warranty which Kron stepped up to the plate and honored. They then went up and beyond what I expected and resolved a 3 yr ongoing problem with my a/c. Kudos to them. They are my company now.

Excellent service, all the way around!

They were not my cheapest estimate but I felt they they gave me an honest estimate. They included the permit, electrician and pump in the estimate. The man that came for the estimate was professional. He sat down and explained the different units and brands. The men who installed the unit came on time. They were polite and cleaned up after themselves. No smoking. They finished their work and gave me the paperwork. Later the man who gave me the estimate came by to make sure that I was satisfied. Since then I have had this company service my downstairs unit.

We were very pleased with Kron & West Air Conditioning. We had a new unit installed in my mothers home and they were professionals all the way. Thanks especially to Bob who was so easy to work with, and Joe for coming out the next day and checking everything out for us. Highly recommend!

Excellent. The technician took his time to perform a through exam, cleaning and adjustment. Additionally, he helped us to know which areas a homeowner can flush to prolong the function of the equipment. Cost below indicates cost for one visit. Cost for 2 is $189. Highly recommend this company.

Fine - no issues

Service tech arrived, turned out to be the office service manager Brian. Understood issues, spent a few minutes examining the several pages of work invoices detailing previous repair attempts, and then began working on air handler in attic. After perhaps half an hour, was pleasantly aware of a high volume of cold air coming from living room vent, and vents in all other rooms as well. Brian did not want to declare premature success, but suggested that it would be appropriate to close all the various windows opened for cross-ventilation. Interior temperature dropped from 87 degrees to 83 degrees in next hour.. System seemed to be working fine and was again surprised by Brian's request to return in 3-4 hours to confirm system continued to function, and make necessary some final adjustments. Turns out that cannot obtain most accurate instrument readings when indoor temperature is our of normal conditioned temperature range of 70-80 degrees ---something about a correlation between temperature and pressure. Arrived for follow-up visit later in day, found and corrected over-pressure in system, ,which could potentially damage compressor when system running under normal conditions. And by chance, had just received a Trane bulletin in afternoon mail recommending a change in plugged connection in that model air handler. Now have fully functioning and updated system. And one last point. $89. The service charges to salvage a broken system totaled $89. Most appreciative of skilled and experienced AC service from Kron & West. Company has new customer.

Every step of the process exceeded my expectations. Bob provided a quick and thorough estimate and took the time to explain any questions. Their price wasn't the lowest but we were not comparing like units Ruud verse Carrier. I feel we received an excellent price on a Carrier SEER 15 heat pump. The installation crew was great and did high quality work in a timely manner, taking great care to explain how to use the new thermostat. They cleaned up everything and probably left the job site cleaner than what they found it. Bob then came to the house to go over everything - he did all the paperwork to extend the warranty to 10 years and also took care of the papers required by Duke Energy. I would highly recommend Kron & West to anyone needing a new unit or service to their old unit.
