Vince came out and gave us a plan and emailed an estimate. We just installed a pool and our backyard was a blank canvas. Vince was extremely knowledgable about what plants would thrive in our sandy soil. He also took into consideration our low maintenance request. He emailed a picture of each plant/tree, a detailed price breakdown. He and his crew were here right on time. He supervised the crew and then provided us wit a detailed book on each plants needs (picture of plant, fertilization schedule, watering needs etc..) Since our job is so big we are doing the landscaping in stages. I would highly recommend Sims Landscaping.

Vince came out to my house to give me an estimate on redoing the side yard. I explained what I was looking for, low mainetanance, no more sod/grass, ability to keep the HOA at bay. Vince explained provided me with a detailed plan with beautiful drought tolerant, low maintenance plants. His estimate was completely itemized allowing me to do some of the prep work myself so that I would know exactly how much I could save. I ended up doing all the prep work and had his guys deliver and plant all the plants. After the plants were in I was provided with a customized book with photographs of each of the different types of plants along with basic information and an easy to follow fertilizer schedule. I was blown away by that since I was not expecting it. It was even spiral bound with our name on the cover. Vince also provided me with 2 of the books he has authored as a gift. They were middle of the road on price but do have a 1 year guarantee.

Sims drew up a plan and gave us a price , we did it in stage and planted the plants ourselves to save money.
We did the area around the back porch and around the front entrance first. Three months later we did the back yard all the plants were cold hardy and drought tolerant. Sims gave us instructions on how to plant the plants and a schedule to fertilize the plants and what type of fertilizer to use. We followed this information and all the plants did well, We were very pleased with the plant choices and the design even the neighbors commented on our yard. We lived in the house ten more years and all the plants were doing well.

Two weeks ago Vince Sims, the "Garden Rebel" came to our house and met with my wife. She explained what we wanted to do; a xeriscape of our front yard using drought tolerant plants. Vince spent an hour making an outline of the property and recommending varieties of plants for the yard. He did not want us to get rid of everything as some plants were ok as is. We had previously killed off the section of yard we wanted to redo. The Sims office mailed a proposal/estimate. A mulch company was listed and the amount of recommended mulch was provided. This was a separate charge. The mulch company delivered in the A.M. the day of the job. I had no trouble scheduling the work and could have had it done a week sooner, however my schedule wouldn't allow it. The foreman, Dan and his two helpers arrived on time. The job took four hours. We could have elected to plant the plants ourselves and save the labor cost but having them do the work while we watched was by far the best way to go. We are extremely satisfied with the work and can't help but marvel at the results.

Both phases of the landscaping were completed on schedule and the area was completely cleaned-up after each phase. The only inconvenience was that I had to purchase and supply the mulch. This added about $200.00 to the project cost and required additional effort. However, it must be noted that Sims made minor repairs to the sprinkler system which was disturbed during shrub removal. The completed job is very attractive and has received complements from many friends and neighbors.

The Garden Rebel delivered my plants and did his magic. I did the planting. Every single plant lived (so far). He provided a booklet outlining how to care for each plant variety used. I now have the best landscaped yard in my neigborhood. Only problem was long waiting list!

THEY ARE OK. THEY ARE RELIABLE. THEY COME ON A WEEKLY BASIS. THEY DON'T COME IN THE WINTER. I HAVE USED THEM FOR TWO AND A HALF YEARS. THEY ARE OK. I WOULD RATE THEM AS A B BECAUSE THEY KEEP THINGS IN GOOD CONDITION.

IT WAS A LITTLE DISAPPOINTING. THEY MAKE IT OUT ON THE RADIO LIKE THEY ARE GUNG-HO FOR THE CUSTOMER. THERE WERE THREE OR FOUR THINGS THEY REALLY DROPPED THE BALL ON. THE WORK WAS GOOD. THEY PLANTED EVERYTHING AND CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES. I THINK THE PRICING WAS PROBABLY CONSISTENT WITH OTHER PRICES WE GOT. I THINK THE BIGGEST ISSUE IS THERE WERE ASPECTS OF WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE THAT HAD TO BE SUBCONTRACTED OUT. THEY TOLD US TO GET IT DONE. THE PEOPLE THEY RECOMMENDED WERE PITIFUL.

The workers arrived on time as scheduled and were thorough in completing the job. They were cordial and provided a book on how to maintain each plant in the new landscape project.
