I gave him the list of things I needed done and kept waiting for him to get back to me with a price quote. He kept changing his price quote and then kept putting off starting the work. He then asked me for $150 in advance for materials but refused to show me a receipt and i suspect he only bought about $15 in supplies. I myself had already spent about $750-800 in materials. He was an hour late the 1st day and already upset with me because he had to pick up supplies at Home Depot and due to a misunderstanding on his part had gone to the wrong part of the store He made some personal remarks that were very offensive to me. He was also very rude and disrespectful to his son who was helping him and he kept disappearing to talk on the phone. One of the things he was paid to do was fix the toilet which he did wrong and messed up worse than it was before he started. He also left the toilet seat completely off the toilet. He had originally told me it would be an all day, 2-day job but at one point he disappeared and when I went to look for him he was in his truck and had been in there for 45 minutes "figuring out my bill" which i suspect was him trying to figure out how he could charge me the total $500. When all was said and done he charged me $500 for about $150 worth of work, including a new stup finder because his had broken, so apparently now I have to pay for it. He refused to show me a receipt and he was out the door by 3pm, after sitting in his truck since 2pm. He will not be doing anymore work for me and he will no longer be allowed on my property because i feel he robs people. I feel that he felt he could take advantage of me because I am a disabled woman living by myself. He had made a point to ask whether or not I lived alone or had any nearby family, making me think that when he heard that I didn't he assumed I was fair game to be taken advantage of.

"This is a crazy review, and very slanderous to me and my business. I did work for her almost two yrs ago. I never asked her if she was single or lived alone! I did make casual conversations with this customer, she seem very paranoid, and told me that people had squated in her home while she was out of state. I have never stolen anything from anyone, I always give a very fair price, I removed a kitchen disposal, in fact the drain was clogged with pop cycle sticks and the disposal was not operational and had to be removed! Theses plumbing supplies cost me over 70.00 dollars, I completely replumbed her sink drains in her kitchen sink. I hung some shelving for her and replaced the Guts in the hall toilet. I did install a new toilet set in on bathroom but not the other bath room. I did buy a stud finder, but not at her cost! I needed one to hang shelves that she wanted hung. Her list keep changing as if she was confused as to what she really wanted done. She had us go to Home Depot to pick up some fencing slats and other things, as for her statement that I went to the wrong department to get her things, again a misstatement! As Home Depot had her things in the back of the store and the people at Home Depot did not know where they were at, and we had to wait for there people to find the customers items. I picked up her items and put them in her back yard and garage. I had to move things in the customers garage to place the items she had bought into the garage. I even looked at her sliding glass door and it was such a mess it could not be repaired. She had things every where and it was hard to move about. I was never rude to my son we work together all the time. I gave her and estimate, up front, that included my labor and materials that I estimated I would need to do her job. I never give receipts as I don't break down an estimate that way. I always ask for a small reasonable deposit when I start a job, that is a common business practice, if she did not feel comfortable with that then she should not have hired me! She first wanted me to quote her to replace the siding on her home and to repaint her home, I told her that I could not replace her siding on the house because I was not a general contractor! So I never quoted the siding or exterior painting. I did go in and out of her home several times while working there, but it was to get either tools or misc supplies or to take a break, or if I did receive a ph call I would step out to answer and be in private, a practice that is completely common. I did sit in the truck to re figure her bill as she had changed the work to be done and that changed her amount due. I then gave her the final bill. She told me that people steal her mail and hack into her email, so I could not email her the final bill And that cannot Use the usps to mail her. She wanted me to fix a rusted badly front steal screen door, I told her it need replaced. I am sorry that this customer feels that I cheated her or abused a customer business relationship. We did quality work for a fair price. And I'm at a loss why she never called me if she was unhappy! What gets me is why am I getting a bad review 20 months after doing work for her! Again this review is very slandering! As you can see from almost all my reviews I go above and beyond for my customers I have been in business for 18 yrs and most reviewers are A's I don't understand why she never called me to complain or to Voice her concerns and again why she waited almost two yrs to send a review?"

They came out, they gave us an estimate, they did the job, they put new drywall up. They subsequently painted the inside of our house, they painted the outside of our house, they've done other handyman jobs. We're just about to connect with them to do some additional remodeling jobs. I called three guys from another list and they were the only guys that replied and responded. They came out and they fixed it. It was wonderful. I have recommended them to a number of friends. They cleaned up, they made the ceiling texture match, they fixed it.

Great Service!! David is a knowledgeable handyman. He has the 'eye' to see things and share options where additional maintenance maybe required. Areas (cleaning roof) where he could do the work, yet suggested that we hire someone that actually specializes would be the best option, and most cost efficient. David was very flexible with us and there was a feeling of trust. The work was excellent, and it almost felt like the was doing the work on his own property. No short cuts, and very detailed orientated. David was not 'just a painter' - he was a 'master' of the craft. Project took longer than expected, yet mother nature was not helpful with some rain and cool mornings. Yet, once the weather permitted painting - he was at the house. CLEAN and ORGANIZED. The house looks great - the screen patio looks brand new! The repaint of the framing and white ceiling paint was amazing - everything turned out better than expected.

My overall experience with Paris Handyman Connection was very poor. I called and spoke with David Paris and explained to him that I needed help with handyman contracting work for a property manager. He told me they were very busy and it would be about a week before he could get to anything, but we agreed that I would send a few work orders over and he would get to them the following week. His son did get to one of the houses fairly quickly and the tenant was satisfied with the work. I paid Paris Handyman $200 over the phone with a credit card within a few days of that job's completion (I called them to pay and had to leave two voice mails). The other two orders were not addressed until I called to ask what was going on. The second work order was finally done after two weeks and the third order was never done. By the third week, when I called and asked about the status of the third order and why the tenant was calling and saying he had not yet even been contacted to set an appointment, David Paris tried to deflect by saying that his son had made several attempts to contact the tenant but had not had his voice mails returned and besides, I had not paid his second invoice ($152) yet. This tenant denied that he had any voice mails related to the work needed at his house. and my experience has been that this tenant, who I have called at least four times myself, has always answered right away or called me right back. As to the invoice, I told Mr. Paris that I had intentionally delayed (by one week) payment to see if he would have the nerve to complain about not receiving instant action on my part when he put no importance on my work orders and even lied about attempts to contact the tenant to set an appointment. True to form, his attitude was basically, "Payment to me is to be immediate. I'll get to your piddly jobs when and if I can." Actually, that's pretty much what he said in no uncertain terms. He was very rude and unprofessional. And yes for the record, I mailed his $152 the same day of that phone call. Good riddance.

He was honest, courteous, and very professional. The quality of workmanship is exceptional and he employs his two sons when needed as well. They were all very kind and hard working. Pricing was honest and fair. He even knocked some $ off the original price because it wasn't as difficult as he anticipated!!! Who does that these days?? David called me back a short time after I left him a message. He came to my home and quoted the work and said that he could begin the work the following day. The next day he showed up on scheduled and completed the work under budget, and passed the savings on to me. I would hire David again without hesitation.

Dave is a very skilled, detailed-oriented and dependable Handyman. We quickly learn to trust him and let him drive the project. I wanted to remove a hallway closet and replace it with a built-in bookshelf, remove popcorn ceiling and replace it with knock-down look; my Wife also wanted to give the kitchen a face lift with a new countertop, backsplash and new appliances. Dave came on time on the day of our appointment and advised us on the best way to move forward with the project. He is very respectful and courteous. He is busy but he will not jump from job to job. Once he starts your project, he will not jump to another one until he is done with yours. we patiently waited for him and his was time well spent; The project went like a breeze. Dave considers our inputs seriously and takes the time to explain the impact of each scenario. He is not the cheapest handyman on the block and you are not going to break the bank. I find his pricing very reasonable. His professionalism warrants every dollar. I would recommend Dave to anyone who wants a job well done in a reasonable time.
