+ -1 moreJoe Grady, the person doing the inspection, refused to provide certification on anything but hurricane clips, disallowing any credit for new garage doors, new (post Ivan) roof, or window protection. Another survey done 3 days later by a different vendor certified all of these. This is just plain fraud, but the law only penalizes those who falsify reports that would incorrectly credit homeowner certification, not those who deny it.
Description of Work: Florida has regulations that encourage home owners to get wind (ie hurricane) measures installed to reduce risk, and requires insurance companies to provide discounts on home owner's insurance. All work so done must be done by licensed vendors, and all subsequent surveys must also be provided by licensed vendors. It has several categories of protection: roof, windows, garage door, etc.
