Worst experience with a so called professional company. I got 3 bids, didn't use the cheapest one, but went with the guy I felt comfortable with. The bid was for almost 20k to do spray deck, redo coping, tile, and new plaster along with adding a prefab fountain and deck jets. John Miller Pools again did a great presentation, very personable and we felt comfortable so we signed the contract. I don't usually write reviews, but felt obligated to as this project, that was supposed to be an exciting renovation, turned into a nightmare!! Issues we experienced: 1. Cashed 9900 check within in 10 minutes of him leaving my house after signing contract. 2. Asked for more money 2-3 weeks later when almost nothing was done 3. At the time I did my pool he had no professional pool guys just laborers and he subbed everything out, I didn't know that upfront. 4. I was told job would take 4-6 weeks and it ended up taking 4 months, almost past swimming season. I made him sign a letter to come back to fix plaster that was cracking and the pool was leaking, we wanted to use the pool in August for a job we started in April. He came back a 2nd time to fix plaster and pool is still leaking; plaster is rough, cracked and chipping. Some places even have air pockets under plaster. 5. John was rarely around and sent out guys who had no clue what they were doing, who kept asking me what to do. So, I tried to help not knowing anything about pools, but wanted this job done 6. Some days they showed up at 6 at night and worked with lights at night while we tried to sleep, if they showed up at all. Never knew when they would be here. 7. They didn't have appropriate tools, borrowed mine without asking, broke them and some disappeared. 8. Asked me to buy materials as he needed them and take off the bill, often I had to pick up. 9. Spent 2k on landscape lighting 2 months before pool project began and they broke 1/2 of them 10. Not courteous of my home as they rarely cleaned up after the half day they worked, also I couldn't park my car in garage because all their materials where stored in there 11. Fountain that was put in is too far from pool and leaks on deck, had to use a stepping stone and brick to direct water to pool or it runs on deck. 12. Towards the end of job he asked me to buy more materials, I told him he was about paid in full and didn't feel comfortable giving him anymore until job was completed. He came out to the house sat on his computer and added almost 5k to the initial bid. Curtis with Bright Blue Pools found out about my pool issues and is our savior who fixed John's poor workmanship for the cost of labor and materials. He came highly recommended from friends and neighbors and wished I went with him vs. John Miller, Pool Again. What a difference in the professionalism of the crew, the materials, tools and respect of my home, not to mention they showed up on time and worked hard all day every day till it was finished. His crew he sent out knows what they’re doing and finished the job as promised. Finally, I have a pool I am proud of thanks to Curtis with Bright Blue Pools. Beware of John Miller, Pool Again, I don't wish our experience with him on anyone.
