Description of Work: My husband and I have gone to Jim for 6+ years. Great work. Always fair. Good Christian guy. Most recently had oil change. But he has done anything we needed.

+ -1 moreIt went great. I have used Jim many times and he is the kind of mechanic you always hope you will find and seldom do. Great mechanic, great guy, fair and honest prices. I always feel I should give him more than he charges. I have had him do many different services and all were performed exceptionally well, very quickly. I would never go anywhere else ever. True Auto is the best in the Bay Area by far. You are lucky if you go to him. It is done right at a great price, and if you don't need it you won't get it here.
Description of Work: Changed oil and filter and checked out the van for a trip up to New England.

+ -1 moreThey installed new headlights (the whole lamp, not just bulbs), which I had bought from Amazon.com. When I dropped off the car, I told him the car made a squeaky noise every morning when I first start the car and during the first couple of turns of the wheel, then it's fine. He called me right away to let me know that he found the problem, couple of belts needed replacing and told me how much it would be to fix that plus install the headlamps. Later I got another call asking if I wanted to keep the old assemblies for the headlamps. It was a little freaky, the service was so good and so unlike the typical, cheerless, mysterious auto repair people I've encountered over the past 40 years!!
Description of Work: Replaced belts and installed new headlamps.
