Thoroughly inspected my home

Tropic Guard was professional and timely and was very concencious of making sure the customer was satisfied. We sought several quotes and although some were slightly lower, having a professional company who does this day in and day out made the difference.

Staff completed the work while we were not able to be there without any issues. Mr. Stewart and his workers were very nice while answering our many questions and accommodating with some changes to our original plan. I would highly recommend this company for any work.

Doug the owner is nice to deal with. There was a small SNAFU with the workers, but he got it taken care of. The price was great. Overall, good experience.

Great value and workmanship

The shutters were delivered when expected, as expected. No issues at all.

Great job and quality product s. I feel much better now going into hurricane season. Labeled all shutters and gave a laminated diagram to make it easy to install when I need them. Highly recommended!!

The owner came out to give me an estimate & explained all my options without any pressure or sales pitches. He followed up with me during the ordering process and while waiting for shutters to arrive. The gentlemen that came out to install the shutters were so courteous and respectful. They did the job fast & well. Left everything in proper order & patiently showed me how everything worked before they left for the day. The price was exactly what was quoted. Doug is knowledgeable

Failed to install and follow up. I had a great feeling about Doug. After getting four quotes I chose Tropic Guard. The product is great and my initial interactions with Doug were also as expected. During the installation, the crew left trash, cigarette butts, and nails both inside and outside of my home. This included my son bed. The crew made no attempt to preserve our landscaping in the process. Recently we discovered that one of the windows has been leaking into our walls. We made multiple attempts to contact Doug. Only one call was returned and he told us he would get back to us. I had to email and threaten a bad review to get him to call me back. He sent a guy out to re-caulk the window but has not followed up or taken any responsibility for the damage. His guy (who admitted that window had clearly been leaking into the wall) told me I could just put a window sill in to hide the damage very disappointing.

Doug was so helpful throughout the whole process! He was easy to get in touch with, was not pushy and gave me a great price. Doug’s crew got the job done in a few hours and we couldn’t be happier! He even stopped by on a Saturday to show my fiancé and I how to hang the shutters properly! I would highly highly recommend!

Responsive to my needs with a good price.

Tropic Guard installed hurricane shutters at every window of our house. They are an excellent company to work with. The customer service is outstanding and Doug is not only extremely responsive but you can 100% rely on his commitments. His team is highly professional and delivers excellent work. This is the kind of company that you want to do business with.

I signed on with Tropic Guard in February because I was told "I can probably have your windows/doors in two weeks. I'll let you know." I heard nothing. Installation began in June after I made several contacts with the owner, but 2 items were the wrong size and were re-ordered. I heard nothing again until August when--again after I made contact--the new items were installed. However, there were missing pieces for the French doors and the wrong screen for the slider. Again, I heard nothing from Tropic Guard. I contacted the door company and was able to get the missing pieces (which I installed myself). I contacted the city for the final inspection. A few issues were found. I have contacted Tropic Guard about this and have heard NOTHING! I want this job finished, but it appears that I am going to have to hire someone else to complete the job. Two weeks have turned into EIGHT MONTHS. Very disappointing!

Owner is very nice

Doug Stewart, owner, sales representatives, is an amazing person to deal with. The products used in our project, aluminum accordion shutters, roll down shutters and fabric Hurricane guard were all installed by this companies professional installer John. All accomplished cleanly and cost was extremely competitive. Thank you Doug& John

I had aluminum hurricane panels cut and installed for my 9 windows. The installer, John, did an excellent job in the installation. He gave me detailed explanations, on how to attach them, to my windows, when needed. He numbered all the aluminum panels, so attaching the panels will match the windows.

Tropic Guard gave a good product for a fair price. John, the installer, was efficient and polite. I would recommend them to anyone looking to get hurricane shutters .

Tropic Guard is an excellent company to work with. Their customer service is outstanding and if there is a problem with the project they aren't happy until the customer is satisfied. Doug Stewart is a man of his word. After inspecting my project, Doug Stewart advised me that he wasn't entirely satisfied. As a result he replaced four of the panels at no cost. This is the kind of company that you want to do business with.
