Excellent company and team. Paul are crew are timely, professional, great communication, removed 3 large trees and cleaned up everything before they left. Yard looks great! This is the second time I have hired this company and again, very pleased.

They were excellent, prompt, courteous, and we have no complaints whatsoever. He even checked our trees and recommended we did not need his service for another three years. They are trustworthy and we would highly recommend them.

Paul, the owner, is always easy to work with. He does an exceptional job and provides competitive, fair pricing. The crew he works with is top notch. They complete the job exactly as they promised, leaving zero mess. You would never know they were there which is far better than others I've used in the past. Paul is responsive, punctual, honest, and fair.

Paul showed up with 2 crew members and got started a little later than planned. Part way through the morning he mentioned something about having to let several of his crew go because he thought they had been involved in the theft of his eqipment earlier in the week. At first they were roping off limbs as they brought them down and being cateful. After lunch Paul became very moody. His crew became hurried and quit being as careful. He bid the job anticipating his full crew and it seemed to be difficult with just 2 crew members. The person who referred Tree Dragon to us always spoke highly of them. When they removed his tree they were careful and professional. They moved all the stones from around his tree and stacked them elsewhere, and cleaned up very well after themselves. Paul had told us we would never know he was there, that his crew would move anything that needed to be moved, take care of a couple of other small trimming jobs around the yard, kill the stump and clean up everything. The same great service he has given to many clients is what we expected. Prior to Pauls arrival we had moved everything out of the way to ensure everything went smoothly. Paul said he had to leave and go to another job before ours was finished. My husband asked if he was going to kill the stump and clean up as promised. Paul asked if it was on the bid. My husband reminded him of everything they discussed. Paul said it was hard to find the stump killer and that we could do it and left. Several minutes later he texted me at work saying he was getting the stump killer and would be back. After a while he texted he left it with his guys and they would apply it, finish the clean-up and we could give them the check. Shortly after that my husband saw they were blowing wood chips into the pile of storm debris waiting to be picked up. He went out and said they couldn't do that. They got in the truck and left. The truck picking up storm debris picks up big items and does not sweep up. My husband is disabled leaving to me to figure out how to get this mess cleaned up, kill the stump they did not, fix the stone wall, trim up the bushes and plants they trampled and get it hauled away. I texted Paul that it was quite a mess for me to clean up. He said his crew had been scared off, to deduct what was needed to clean up, our business was completed and he expected the check to be mailed. I am very angry and disapointed. It is sad he had such a rough week. It is not our fault that things have been rough for him and he had to fire most of his crew. We worked with him during the stressful times he has been through since the storm came through Florida. We deserved to be treated with the same professionalism and courtesy that you read about in all these reviews. We deserved to have the job completed as promised. Now I have to hire someone else to come in and finish up the work Paul promised to do for us. It is not right, professional or honest to treat people like this.

They have a huge truck and a chipper shredder that they chip and trim all the branches and the one that are too big they put on the truck and haul it away. When they are gone you’d never know they did any work. They are very clean and very thorough.

We have palm trees, oak trees, maples and cherry laurels, you name it, we have it, a very heavily wooded lot. Before hurricane season starts, they come in and assess what needs to be done, remove damaged palms, remove dead wood, they take care of branches over the house, removing damaged trees and branches, whatever needs to be done.

We've recommended them to several of our friends. The palm trees get a sort of a fungus at the bottom and it eats away at the inside of the palm which makes it hollow and gives it a tendency to fall over. When hurricane season arrives, you don't want any tippy trees. The palm trees need to be trimmed every couple of years so while they are here taking care of damaged trees, they trim the palms.

My experience with Tree Dragons was great from beginning to end. Paul Came to my house to give me an estimate, and talk to me about the work that needed to be done. He was professional and knowledgable. He gave me a quote that wasn't the lowest, but definitely wasn't the highest. I felt comfortable that his company could safely remove the large branch over my house. They came out the next day, removed the branch, cleaned everything up and even cleaned the gutters! I am very happy with my decision and will use Tree Dragons in the future.

As noted above, I had received quotes from at least 15 tree services, most likely even more than this.  I wasn't sold on any one person or company.  Some company's had a much lower price, some much higher.  I wasn't comfortable with any of them.

I spoke with Paul during the quotation process.  I was very happy with his level of professionalism.  He was knowledgeable and made me feel completely at ease. 

He estimated it could take up to 2 weeks to obtain the permit, but called me within a few days.  He was on point, on time, and executing everything exactly as he promised.  The tree was massive and so was the stump.  This was one heck of a major job, but his crew handled everything without error.  They were fast, effective, professional, and they cleaned up after themselves. 

The entire job took a couple of days.  The tree was down completely day one, as promised.  The stump grinding started the following day and was completed within a full day.   Everything was hauled away.  I was always kept in the loop with an open line of communication.

I really appreciate the job they did for me.  I have another tree that needs trimming and I will absolutely be giving Paul a call.  I would recommend him to anybody needing this type of service.  This industry can be really scary.  Trusting people to complete the job correctly or even show up in general, is tough.  His level of professionalism is what sold me and the fact that his crew was equally as professional made this a complete no-brainer.

Although Paul's team had some unfortunate difficulty with the tall Norfolk Pine hitting my gutter and porch screen during the cutting operation, Tree Dragons were very prompt (literally a phone call within a half-hour of the incident, while the team was still on-site), in informing us of the damage, they were very good about repairing both very quickly and completely up to the highest standards hiring professionals to take care of the damage. I was incredibly impressed with the whole experience and will not hesitate for a second next time I need tree work done. Paul and his team were outstanding.

I would give them an A in everything. They were really good.

I have been working with Paul for the last several weeks on getting my lot cleared of several trees so that I can start construction on my house. Paul and Tane have been working with me and the City of Clearwater to get all necessary approval for the permit. This has included several visits out to my property, meeting with a representative with the city, creating a tree preservation plan, root pruning and setting up tree barricades to protect the neighboring trees from any impact. Tree Dragons Tree Service has been easy to work with and have jumped through all the hoops necessary to get my permit approved. Their prices are great! Paul has also been very fair with me for some additional work that needed to be done that wasn't included in the original estimate.
We have now just finally received approval to remove the trees which should be finished up in a few days.  I just wanted to write this review on Angies List letting people know that I highly recommend them!
I will be sure to update my review, but I'm sure I will continue to be very happy with their services and recommend them in the future.



Update: Paul and his crew finished the work as expected. They worked quickly in removing all the trees from my lot. The bill was exactly as estimated. Thanks again.

In every case, Paul has personally come out and walked the property and suggested things to do and talked about future plans. Also in every case, he has thrown things in...trim this up here, lay down some mulch over there, remove brush I had removed months earlier. His work is always done to perfection, and you can tell he can't operate any other way.

Paul is a certified arborist and really knows his stuff about trees. I appreciate that he advised me on the best way to trim certain trees for their long-term health/desirable growth, etc. They did a good job trimming the trees and I'm happy with the work (see update below). As another customer said in a review, though, scheduling is and quot;a bit diceyand quot;. It is hard to pin down scheduling but, if you are not in a rush and you want a good job done, they are good.

Update/edited to add: Since I wrote the above review, I noticed (as did my roofers, who were up on the roof installing a new roof after the tree work) that the tree people had left a lot of very large limbs which they had cut but not removed from the trees. They were just dangling (some oak limbs, as well as some slash pine limbs). Also, I noticed that they had damaged the metal protective grillwork on my heat-pump/compressor. Also, I had not mentioned earlier that they broke several things in my yard and left quite a mess in some areas (branches everywhere, etc.). Over all, the final impression I'm left with is that Paul is an excellent arborist but I personally wouldn't use the company again, because there were just too many weird things for me in terms of initially scheduling the job and then the way the lot was left.

They came and estimated when promised. He is very knowledgeable about trees and wants to trim them correctly. The price was very reasonable and they did the work the next day. Perfect. Third time I've used them!

They arrived on time. Insisted that they don't get paid until I am satisfied. Did everything previously agreed upon beautifully. Did a great cleanup. I am definately happy with what was done and how it was done.

It took a while (weeks) to get them here, partly due to trying to coordinate with Progress Energy on which branches were whose to remove. But the morning they came, it was just a couple of hours and off to the dump. By meeting them at the St Pete brush site, I was able to get the tree dumped for free. They didn't have a dolly to carry off the tree slices, but they used mine and it worked just fine. Paul called ahead the morning of work to make sure I had the driveway clear for their big brush carrying truck. The whole crew was friendly and polite. I will call them again next time I need tree services.

They were very quick. The price was right and the pick up was great.
