I really like Glen. He was very responsive in my initial inquiries, and found a time to come take a look. He quickly replaced our malfunctioning control panel. He is pleasant to deal with and my new go to mechanic for any problems with my hot tub.

He was great. Right on time, and had it fixed quickly

Glen was very responsive, worked me in on pretty short notice and did the job well. All in time for me to have friends over and entertain on the weekend. The spa went from cloudy and sandy to beautiful and clean. He identified that I needed a new filter which solved the sand problem. I definitely recommend him!

The spa was not working. It was excellent, he was very good. I think the quality of his work was excellent, the reason being the problem with the spa was a clogged filter which he replaced. He did not try to upsale us to a new feeder pump anything, he just identified the problem, fixed the problem and that was that. He was very good.

First spa repair company didn't show for a week, then came late in the day. Said spa full of roaches, needed to be bombed, he would return and replace the heater connectors. If we used spa company who he subbed for, it would be $700, but he'd replace it on the side for $150. Charged us $133 trip fee. Looked at Angie's list, saw the rave reviews for Spa Mechanic. Called them, they returned the call same day, set up appointment for next morning. He arrived 10 minutes early. I said spa not heating, didn't tell him what the other repair man said. He showed me that heater was fine, just gummed up from bugs. Vacuumed the inside and motor parts, spa working great. Just charged $80 trip charge. Great guy, full of advice on how I can maintain my spa better.

Everything was professional and quite smooth. He came on time, provided an overview of what was wrong with the spa, ordered parts, returned to fix it, and was quite responsive. The other spa was moved to another property and this was done with ease and without any problems. I highly recommend the company.

Arrived promptly and tested system. Identified defective circulation and air flow pumps. Replaced circulation pump and made recommendations regarding the air pump. Reassembled spa cabinet before leaving.  He was pleasant and professional.

Glen was prompt and very efficient.   Arrived at the time indicated and completed the job quickly.   We will definitely call him to start the unit in the fall.

My warranty had expired but he worked with the manufacturer to get the cost of a replacement board reduced, saving me a few hundred dollars.

Like many people who own Leisure Bay hot tubs, it has been hard to find parts and service since the manufacturer went out of business.  The Spa Mechanic quickly identified the reason why my jets and heater were not working and replaced the shut off valve within 48 hours of my initial call for service.  I highly recommend this Angie's List provider for good prompt reliable service.

Great with everything but leaks!

I used another outfit before I signed up with Angie's List that billed me hundreds and made it worse - came back three times - spa went down.....

I hired The Spa Mechanic and diagnosed burnt out wiring, likely caused by the first guy. He has parts on his truck - he had a motor on his truck.

He doesn't fix leaks. I finally got a third guy over and he discovered the mystery leak AND a leak caused by Glen when he replaced the motor.

Conclusion - good with overall maintenance & electronics - but no plumber.

First he arrived exactly when he said he would.   He listened to what the sypmtoms were and then looked at the hot tub.   He took about 15 - 20 minutes and found either a design defect, or a wiring issue because the GFI  circuit wouldn't shut off one of the pumps when tripped, and got the spa running.  Reasonable rates, and he arrived exactly on time.  A really knowledgeable guy - better than the factory service guys for sure.

He doesn't have people skills. He wasn't a good salesman. He told you things that would save you money, even if it didn't benefit him. His communication was excellent. I would use him again in a heartbeat, if I need him.
