Whatever you do, do not hire this company for any of your landscaping or yard cleanup needs! We were with this company for basic yardwork for over three years. The first couple years were not bad and then we noticed the company started getting sloppy and breaking things in our yard and running over certain plants. Also, their muffler spat out oil all over our freshly painted home. They ran the side of my white vinyl fence over with their tires and left rubber tire marks all over my fence. They hit my shed and ripped a vinyl siding piece out of place. I called the owner and all she did was tell me I’m over reacting and that maybe I should find a new company because obviously they aren’t doing a good enough job. She continued to stick up for her husband, who does the riding lawnmower as if they did nothing wrong, and it was all our imagination even though I sent them video footage and pictures every single time something happened. They never once offered to help fix, clean up or pay for any of the damages they did. We also had issues with some of their workers using profanity and yelling at my neighbors for blowing lawn clippings onto their yard and not cleaning them up. Absolute worst customer service, and worst company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. Just don’t want someone else to have to go through this.

They did a good job.

These guys went above and beyond the call of duty. Today they knocked on my door and said, "We're concerned about your irrigation system. Your grass isn't getting the water it needs. Mind if we investigate?" And sure enough, they discovered a problem with the system. Now, this isn't in their scope of work -- but they cared enough to go the extra mile for me. Delightful to see such a level of service.

Rich and Karla respond immediately. The lawn service is top notch. When requested, the gutter cleaning was done as requested and completely. Service has been weekly for 2 months now & I am very happy with this company.

Outstanding! Called in the AM they were there by lunch. Yard was a mess and they did an excellent not job.

I had Sun N Shade come out for a yard clean up.  I have 4 large oaks in my yard and they had dropped a ton of leaves.  I couldn't even have my regular mower mow due to the amount of leaves.  Gutters were full, needed cleaning some bushes trimmed and some dead areas raked.   They came out and two men worked for about 3 hours non-stop on the lawn,  It looks amazing.  I'm so happy.  Thank you so much!

very accommodating and easy to work with

While I should have checked BBB prior to hiring this company, I did not do so. Shame on me as that simple act could have helped me avoid a very unpleasant situation.
Quick facts:
-Initial yard clean-up and sprinkler work was reasonably priced. While a water spigot was broken, Richard (owner) fixed it once I pointed it out to him by capping it. I'm not sure how they didn't notice they had broken it, but...
-Sun N Shade broke our pool skimmer (which they were not authorized to use), did not let us know it was broken, and then rudely blamed us for having an older skimmer. According to Karla, the owner's wife who manages the office, Sun N Shade had gone 'above and beyond' by skimming our pool - which I might add only needed skimming because of the grass that was kicked up and into the pool during their visits.
*Please note BBB complaint also reflects an issue of lack of accountability and rude responses related to damaged property; 
-Although the Sun and Shade contract I signed clearly establishes a payment schedule (which I dutifully followed), I was informed (after speaking to Karla about our desire to cancel the contract) that we had an outstanding balance from 2 months prior - a balance that was not  reflected in the 2 invoices we received after the date she referenced;
While there were additional issues with the quality of the service, they pale in comparison to having to deal with Karla, who is consistently rude and unprofessional to customers. My most recent e-mail from her, for example, contains phrases such as "This is ridiculous" and "This is not rocket science."
However...she may in fact be right...this is not rocket science...it is just really poor (customer) service.
  

Went very well. Came to give eistiment and did the work that day.

They did a wonderful job. Were very polite and did exactly what I wanted to do. They picked up any junk and branches in the yard. Trimmed the shrubs and I would definately hire them again. It was fine but they don't climb trees.

Needless to say our lawn was overgrown. They came out and cleaned it all up. The price was reasonable for the size of the job (I won't let it get that bad again). They worked efficiently and it looks great!!! *this is the 3rd time we've used them :)

Rich (owner) has been caring for our yard for the past 9 years! We pay for only services we need, and they adjust the schedule based upon the season. They're super easy to work with, quick, reliable, professional -- highly recommend!

When we moved and put in the lawn, I wanted reliable service. I did not know anyone, so I opened the yellow pages (that was before I joined Angie's list) and figured I'd take a chance. Sun-n-Shade has been providing us with great service ever since. I can rest assured that my lawn will get serviced. They do good quality work with cutting and edging. They are also very careful. The guys are always pleasant and willing to work with you. At the beginning I thought the pricing at $93/month was a little high, but in retrospect I don't mind paying for the work they do because I know it will be done and it will be done right.

We are very happy with them. The owner is very good at trimming the bushes and seems to be an all-around man. His pricing is very reasonable and he does an excellent job. I will use him again in the future.
