Absolutely the most professional care I have ever received... although not so good news for my vehicle, lol. After taking my car for a regular oil change, it was discovered that the white smoke coming out was due to oil leaking into the engine valves (short version). Ms. Christine was very thorough in explaining exactly what was going on with my vehicle and what my options were. not only did she take the time to explain everything in a very thorough, patient, and professional manner BUT did so again after I needed to call her again to clarify some issues. She never seemed bothered by my questions and took time to help me choose what my best option would be... which unlike other mechanics, it was not the most expensive choice either! I have been taking my two family vehicles to Hummel Auto for approximately two years now. the level of quality, HONESTY, and professionalism is unmatched. I am planning on purchasing another vehicle soon and there is no question were I will be taking it for my maintenance needs.

They have been good. They helped me with my older cars and they have been honest. The price was pretty expensive.

Their care for the car is very good. They are excellent in scheduling and I don’t have to wait for an oil change if I make an appointment. They are very professional and know all their stuff about automobile. If I need a part they try to find the best price that they can and it is not one company that they deal with they will go in search to give me a good price.

The oil change for the Honda Accord took 1 hour. Advised oil pan was starting to leak, but not an emergency, and could be repaired/replaced at the next oil change (1 year or 3,000 miles). The second oil change, for the Chevy Tracker also went well for the change but, I was advised the Left rear axle was leaking and required a new seal and bearing. Estimated charge: $310 (2-hour repair). I decided to get a second opinion as I felt the cost was too high. I had a mechanic I have used over the past 20 years, who felt only the axle seal required replacement. Unfortunately, he did not have the right tool to remove the bearing screws (screws were aligned differently from the tool he had available). I checked with a local Chevy Dealer who quoted me a price of $495 for the job. I decided to have Hummel complete the repair. However, after they removed the axle bearing, retainer, and leaking seal, discovered someone (most likely, the used car dealer from whom I bought the Chevy) previously used a cheap and wrong size retainer ring, using a glue-type sealant to fit on the drive shaft. This discovery required Hummel obtain the correct sized retainer ring from a Chevy Dealer. The part would not arrive for another 3 hours. Instead of having to wait 3 hours and then another hour at Hummel to complete the repair, Jeff, Service Adviser, drove me home using his car, then picked-me-up 4 hours later, when the repair was completed. He also test-drove the car to ensure there was no further leaking. Shirley the Receptionist, Jeff, and the rest of the staff were friendly, courteous, and professional. I will definitely use Hummel again.

Hummel Tire And Auto is awesome. Everything has been good. I had a lot of repairs done on my van which is 13 years old. They're very honest, very competent and they stand behind their work.

They Listen!!! I've returned a few times thinking I needed to have costly repairs done but in each instance I was reassured and simple, inexpensive fixes, corrected my problem. I would recommend them without reservation!!!

I have always been faithful about having my oil changed at an auto repair shop as opposed to companies that only do that. The first mechanics I went to always found $900.00 worth of work every time I went into them for an oil change. My next mechanic was an "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" kinda guy and he retired. My third mechanic's work ethic was "let's fix the most expensive thing that could be wrong and do that (regarding my A/C). When it didn't resolve the issue, I got lots of excuses and justifications and another expensive solution. I finally joined Angie's List for the sole purpose of finding a good mechanic. I haven't been neglecting my car, I've just had lousy mechanics. Hummel Tires got great reviews on Angie's list. They're so busy, I couldn't get in for 5 days. So far, I've been thoroughly happy with them. They took a lot of time explaining what needed to be done. They listened to my needs as well and were very pleasant working within those parameters with safety as the #1 issue. Happily, they are now my mechanics and I would be very comfortable referring them to anyone.

They take great pains to explain how things work and what is needed and I continue to be appreciative for the fact that they are able to get parts for my 1988 Toyota. On a more personal level, I find Jessica and Christine have a high level of integrity and professionalism with a concern for the comfort of customers. I would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family.

I called to make an appointment expecting to leave the car and get a ride back to my home, which the shop said could be arranged at no cost. When I arrived, the office manager informed me they would be able to do the work while I waited. 45 minutes later, it was done. Several things impressed me about Hummel, meaning I will be a regular customer from now on. -- To deal with the buzzing noise, they put in a clamp and bolted it securely around the converter. Total cost: $2.50! I can easily imagine a shop that would tell me the converter was bad and needed replacing. -- I brought a new air filter and asked that it be installed. The tech came out of the bay holding the existing filter, proving it did not need to be replaced, and suggested I wait. She (yes, a lady mechanic) put it in the trunk, saving me money. -- The shop accepted my AL coupon and charged me the price indicated by the coupon. -- The shop looked clean and well run. They let me watch the golf channel. Customers who walked in while I waited were treated politely and professionally.

They seemed very fair. I have taken it in for problems that I assumed existed, thinking it would cost me several hundred dollars; but they said that they need to tight the nut down and they have done it for free at times. I have been taking different vehicles over the year.

They are outstanding. Christine Jones and Jessica run the place. Most men aren't keen on having a woman tell them what is wrong with their car, but these two are the best. The price is reasonable. They are punctual, responsive, and professional. They have done all of my repairs over the last two years, and I will continue to use their services.

They did an excellent job! I expected it would cost me hundreds of dollars and it only cost me an additional $15. I came early Saturday morning and even though their schedule was full, they said they would fit me in. My car was ready two hours before closing and they didn't over charge me! Excellent fast service at an honest price - what else can you ask for!

The car was dropped off on a Saturday and was told it would be completed by Friday. We got it three days later - on the following Monday. The bill ended up being $106 higher than the estimate.

They are ubberly refreshing. It is not what I would expect walking into a garage. I am actually in the customer service industry so I am highly critical.

This was the first time we had been to hummel and I found them on angies list and we are so happy we did, Christine explained what we needed and what was the best way to get the job done. They do very good work and in a timely manner and we also brought our other care in as well, the first was our van had 2 bad seals and leaked and we got oil changes on both cars, If you are looking for a Clean,friendly Place that does wonderful work then you must go to Hummel! We wont go anywhere Else!

I've been to Hummels twice now and I have found my new garage. They are very professional and and do very good work. The comprehensive Oil Change included a number of items such as replacing the wiper blades. My wiper blades didn't need to be replaced. Rather than replace them anyway, the shop deducted what the replacement cost would have been from the bill. I can't say enough about a company who treats their customers with honesty and doesn't perform work that isn't needed. My other work was an issue with one of my tires. I have chrome wheels and the corrosion has been causing them to leak. I took this one tire to my old mechanic three times and he never could get it to stop leaking. One time at Hummels did the trick. They thoroughly cleaned the corrosion, rebalanced the tire and I haven't had a problem since.
