Very well. It is a female-owned automotive repair business which makes me feel very comfortable.

They did a lot of work on our cars. The service was excellent. The workers and staff are absolutely great. They even took me down the road to a restaurant and came back to pick me up. They're great there. It was three hours, but I knew that going into it. It was $50 for the alignment and the oil change was $39.

I have used their services a few times now. Every time I have been there and sat and waited on my car, the other people I talk to have been going there for years. If you ask them to, they will do a very thorough check of your vehicle and they will let you know. I have not used this service, but they will provide transportation home for their customers and pick them back up when the car is ready. I was very pleased with the cost as I had anticipated a much higher cost for all of the work they have done. I very much felt that they had taken care of everything and she hasn’t had any problems since nor have I. As we were leaving one day after having the work with her car, we saw that they had mopped the base of the shop floor at the end of day. This is the first time I have ever seen a car repair shop look this nice and clean. I was very happy with the work they did on both of the cars. I would definitely go back here again.

This was my first time using Hummel Tire & Auto. My appointment was for 8:00 am - they took my car in immediately and were finished by 9:30 am. The staff was pleasant, polite, and appeared to highly knowledgeable. I had been quoted a price of $263.08 for the same service by the automobile dealership. The result was that I received prompt and courteous service and saved over 30%.

I have been using Hummel Tire and Auto for all my automobile repair/service needs since I first discovered them listed on Angies List. During my most recent dealing, I requested they replace the transmission fluid based on their recommendation during a previous service. Hummel service technicians performed their usual inspection and noticed that the car had the original drive belt which was 13 years old and showing wear. Christina contacted me explaining the risk of running the car with a belt that could fail at any time. I gave the go ahead for the replacement. I have never had a bad experience with Hummel. Their work is exceptional and they deliver when promised. The managers are detailed in their explanations of scope of work and follow up with any problems that surface during service/repair. I find them honest and reasonably priced. The customer waiting area is comfortable, has TV and wifi and is decorated with patriotic memorabilia.

I've been in the Tampa area a couple of years now and have found contractors here to be less than honest -- to put it politely. It was a refreshing change to be told that a service previously thought to be necessary was not. Here are the details. I went over to Hummel to have my oil changed about ten days ago (used an Angie's List coupon) and was advised that my brake pads were low and probably should be replaced. I made the appointment for today and dropped off the car for service. A Hummel staffer gave me a ride back home. A couple of hours later a phone call -- from the owner herself -- informed me that on further inspection the pads were fine and didn't need to be replaced. Because of the inconvenience, I was given a free oil-change coupon for next time. The staffer came to get me again and I drove off, no charge. Now, they could easily have replaced the pads and resurfaced the rotors (total cost $181) even though this was not needed and I would not have known the difference. But they didn't. So, Hummel is where I'll be taking my car for service from now on and I'll be telling my friends this is a business they can trust implicitly. Bravo.

They were great. I settled in with lots to read, my kindle, etc. thinking I'd have a long wait like I do at the dealership. They were finished in about a half hour. The owner took time to talk with me about car repairs. They didn't try to sell me anything or tell me the car--which is 15 years old--needs more work. People were very nice. We'd been there once before, and had a good experience, too.

They are honest and show me what is going on with the repair. They are reasonable with prices and have really taken care of me. I would highly recommend them and will continue to use them.

They said about 90 to 120 minutes and it was less then the 120. No one came out to talk to me and the boards are quite sturdy after about a month. Not much to say as it was a straight forward install, all parts were supplied.

I took my Honda to the dealer to have a light repaired and other minor items corrected. Unfortunately, within weeks, the light was only working occasionally. When I called the dealer, the attitude was not what I expected. I decided to try Hummell as my husband takes his auto there exclusively. They not only noted the light was only loose and corrected it but I had the oil change completed as well. They entire staff was friendly, My car was returned clean and the light issue was explained. I didn't feel the pressure to have additional work done as many dealers do. I will continue to use Hummell for my auto needs and will trust their suggestions.

They used to fix only the problem that you want fixed and if they found something dangerous, they mentioned it to us. However lately, they started saying that a lot of things need to be done on the car and they are all priority. Then we find out that some of the things are really normal for the type of car we have.

Afterward, belts were noisy, idling rough, took it back, they said give it about 100 miles. Went back after 150 miles, belts still noisy, engine still idling rough. (was not prior to work done). (Hummell IS very professional)! I am now using another company in Seminole, recommended to me by a neighbor.

I was received by Seth, who was very friendly. Jessica made sure the car was done right and on time as promised. The price is more than fair. I had an appointment and did not have to wait very long for the work to be done. I have used them many times before and find they are extremely honest and do not ever recommend that something should be done if it is not needed. I trust them explicitly. There was coffee ready and today's newspaper.

Car would not start. Had it towed to Hummel. They paid for a rental car for one day while they diagnosed and later installed a new sensor.

I couldn't be more pleased. Christine & her team are top notch. They took the time to check my car from top to bottom.

They were GREAT....took the car on time, explained the services which would be performed and which were completed in the time allowance they projected. This is where I'll be getting all future service done!

About an hour and 1/2 later, Christine broke the gory details. Major leak at the head gaskets, leaks at the power steering pump and a completely whacked out alignment. She should me the print out from the tests and invited me to come under the vehicle to see the active leaks. I told that I trusted her, so it was unnecessary. She quoted me $1600 in parts and labor to replace all respective gaskets and seal, doing a full oil and service, and effect the alignment. Given the effort needed to do all that, I thought it fair, so I took a deep breath and authorized the repair. She said it'd take two days with their workload. Christine even arranged for her shop foreman to drive me over to where my other car was at the used car lot. I questioned the mechanic about the owners and he said he'd been with them since their start a few years back and he really liked them. The owners treat the guys well he said and go out of their way to do "what's right." A day later, Christine called me and said the truck was ready, a day ahead of schedule. She went over the repairs very thoroughly and even told me they have a 1 year warranty on labor they honor nationally. She also comp'ed the intitial inspection since I did the repairs there, something she had not mentioned she'd do and I had not asked for it. Really good stuff. I paid and went on my way, with the 2003 Expedition driving like a new vehicle. I waited two months to file this review because I'm a skeptic and wanted to see how the repair would hold up. I park the truck in my garage atop a fresh, unblemished piece of cardboard under the engine compartment and every time I pull out, I take a look. Not a drop of fluid of any kind. The vehicle stills run extremely well. I have subsequently recommended Hummel to my wife's boss, so you know that's some faith. I really enjoyed my experience, even the banter I enjoyed with the owners about how the auto business they entered and other topics. Both worked as service managers at dealerships for about 20 years before making the leap on their own. They are to be congratulated and you should not hesitate to trust them completely with your vehicle. I have this SUV, a Prius and my wife has a Toyota FJ. I am moving to south St. Pete and I will go out of my way and have a vehicle towed to their shop in Seminole if I ever need to.

I picked these guys because they had won a bunch of awards and was not disappointed. I would recommend them to anyone.

I took my car to Hummel's based on feedback from friends and from Angie's list. They carefully reviewed each of my concerns, called me with the information about the needed repairs and the costs, and completed the work exactly as promised. They went out of their way to make this an easy and pleasant experience. These are some of the most professional and responsive business people I've met.

For months I had been having problems with my brake and tail lights working, not working then working again. No rhyme or reason. Other mechanics I went to couldn't help. The people at Hummel were great. They didn't hesitate to take on the problem. Much to my surprise they called me a few hours later to tell me that they went on line and found that there was a recall for this problem and I should take it to the dealer for a free fix. They could have done the repair and charged me. I would have never known the difference. The $48 service charge was well worth it. I'll be going back to Hummel from now on.

I had made an appointment so I merely waited for the standard servicing. Everything was done properly and I had another repair service telling me my brakes and shocks were bad. That was not the case and I still had many months left on the life of those parts, so they saved me extra money by doing only the necessary work. I was grateful and relieved for their honesty. I will definitely use them again.
