We started with a few local companies, explained what we were thinking (pool, spa and rough dimensions) and our thoughts. Grand Aquatics came back with a design that was priced great and very close to what we wanted. After a couple tweaks to the design he came over in person and we talked over the design and any remaining questions. A couple days later we had the documents and the process was started. The Owner (Omar) handled all permitting for us and from the time he dug the first hole to when we filled the pool with water we were told would be between 6-8 weeks - the final result was right around 6 weeks. He and his team of employees were always very professional (always Mr or Mrs Chance). He always made time for questions - even for the times he was not working - and made sure we knew what the next steps were and if we had any questions. He was also always present for the inspections. With all the inspections required for a pool (electric, plumbing, building - repeated multiple times) we never failed an inspection. When it came time to pick out the tile, deck and coping he met with us at the company, showed us the options and we were able to pick it that day. For what we thought would be an extremely stressful time, this has been a remarkably easy and stress free process. We even had friends from social media complement us on how ours was the fastest pool they've seen completed. Another of our friends used a different company - started before us and still has yet to start the concrete process. Even with all the roots he ran into while digging (we removed a large pine and 2 oak trees in the backyard) he still was able to stay on schedule While we never foresee moving, but if we ever did and the new home didn't have a pool, Omar and Grand Aquatics would be our first and only call.

They did an amazing job. We couldn't believe how awesome everything turned out. Beyond our expectations. Very professional work, attention to detail is like no other.

We hired Grand Aquatics Pools and Spas to install our pool. We received several other bids/quotes and his was comparable in pricing. We felt more secure going with him as he is on site and does a lot of the work himself. He gave us names and numbers of others in the area that had used his company. They were all happy to allow us in their yard to see the pools he had built and discuss his work ethic. Omar the owner is typically good about responding to calls, emails and text messages. Initially we had a delay getting the proper permits to start work but once we got the permits he was off and running. He knew my wife worked nights and it would be impossible for her to sleep during the day with all the work happening. So while she was off work for surgery he worked diligently to get things finished before she had to return to work. He and his staff were always there when they said they would be and if not they let you know why and when they would return. We never ran into a situation, like many others do, where the contractor leaves for days or weeks at a time. Now that is not to say there were not some hiccups along the way but they were always resolved and in a timely manner. He and his staff were even willing to alter or change things with the build out and patio as we asked. Never once did they balk or say NO we have to go according to the plans. They even came back and added an area to our patio after the fact. There were 2 occasions where we were not happy, unfortunately one has yet to be resolved, although I know since finishing our pool he has become even busier than he normally is. One instance was regarding the heater/chiller. We were to get a chiller included in the price of the pool. Which in Florida is a big deal, most likely we would use that more than the heater. We were not told that the chillers had been recalled by the factory until everything was done. Had we known this prior to the installation of the heater we might have tried to explore other options for cooling the pool in the summer months. He did state that since there was no chiller he upgraded our heater for us. No real way for us to know that, though. The 2nd item involves the pavers and pooling of water in our cover patio area. When laying the pavers for the patio they have to be laid in a way so that the water does not run onto the neighbor’s property, which we know at times can be a challenge. Since being laid during big rain storms we now find an area under or patio where the water pools. We have asked for this to be resolved. Omar was even there one day and saw the problem we were having. He seems to feel the problem stems from the rain barrel we have on the side of our home. The rain barrel has been there 10 plus years and we have never had this problem. His solution was to dig up concrete and pavers and install a big PVC pipe out to the seawall. We did not care for that idea. We asked for another Deco drain to be put in like we have on the opposite side, perhaps just larger to accommodate for the amount of water flowing from that side. Since, we have decided to get rid of the rain barrel and try to tie the gutter into another gutter to redirect the water. All in all we are very pleased with our new pool and backyard. We spend more time out there than we have in the 22 years here. We have referred A LOT of customers to him and I know personally at least 4-5 people have contacted him for quotes.

Very well. Some minor issues that the owner readily resolved. Not sure if it was a good price for the work, but he cane highly recommended so I based my decision on that and I am very happy with his work. I would definite recommend hiring Omar Kamali at Grand Aquatics for a new pool install. He definitely knows his stuff!

Omar did a fantastic job with our pool! He was always professional and everything he said could be done was done and completed exceptionally well!! We couldn’t be happier with our pool and we would use Grand Acquatics Pool & Spa again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend them!

Everything far exceeded our expectations. I retired from a manufacturing and quality control positions and needed a spa for my wife and myself. Omar worked closely with my wife on the design. He even made many recommendations that met our needs far above what we expected. Omar over saw all aspects of construction including those performed by outside contractors. My family and I are truly happy with our brand new pool and spa. Omar did a great job from beginning to end. He was able to take his time and explain every question and concerns we had. Very professional and responsible. This is a 20ft. x 40ft. swimming pool and Omar was able to complete it in under three months. We are very pleased with Grand Aquatics Pools & Spas services and want to thank Omar for. making our dream pool in our new home in this sunshine state of Florida.

We trusted Omar to construct the pool while we were out of town and he and his crew did a great job. We are very pleased with the construction and look of the newly constructed pool. It was a pleasure working with their team, We are a family of 10 including 4 kids and we were worried about being hectic with the renovations. However, their team made our experience feel effortless. Together, we picked our tiles and custom designed our pool. They made our vision come to life and perfected it even better. We were really impressed by their professionalism and advice. We learned about the differences between a chlorinated pool vs. a salt water pool. Overall, they delivered a quality pool that was beautiful for our family to enjoy. Omar was wonderful! He told us exactly what to expect with each step, called or texted to let us know when and what was being done, and patiently addressed all questions and concerns. The people we hired to remove trees did a really awful job. Omar came in behind them and removed the remaining stumps/roots and cleaned up their mess to keep everything on schedule. We had trouble when trying to clean the filter the first time (user error) and he took the time on a holiday weekend to call us to walk us through it. He makes recommendations but is not pushy about any of it. He cleaned up after himself each day. It was not a “crazy construction zone”. I had a shed delivered and set up while he was here and he thought nothing of jumping in to help them get it off the truck. Did I mention he finished ahead of schedule by about a week? Overall he did a wonderful job and we have gotten many compliments on our pool. Would absolutely recommend him to anyone and hire him again.

Everything was done as expected and ahead of the original schedule. They went above and beyond what was asked for. Cost is a little higher but we got more than expected. Headache free.

We hired another company to install a new in-ground pool in July of 2017. They started the pool in October, sprayed the concrete in December and laid the pavers in January. They never showed up again and went out of business. After and exhaustive search, we were referred to Omar with Grand Aquatics Pools. From the first time I talked to Omar I felt confident that he was the man to complete the job. He came out and assessed what had already been done and e-mailed us a quote the next day, He were very pleased with the cost of the estimate and the only additional charge from the original estimate was for an upgrade to the color of the surface of the pool. He gave us a timeline of when he would start and an approximate time of completion and the only delay was due to weather. What I liked best about Grand Aquatics is that Omar was onsite for every part of the the completion except the installation of the mini-pebble surface. Which he assured us that they were certified installers with the manufacturer, excellent at their job and he have worked with them for 14 years. They did a phenomenal job with the surface!!! After the surface Omar was out a couple of days later to make sure the electric and plumbing were done correctly. The pool is up and running perfectly!!! I could not recommend Omar and Grand Aquatics Pools enough. His professionalism and quality of work is second to none. He takes great pride in his work and it shows. My only regret is that I did not use Omar from the beginning to install my pool.

From the design process to final inspection, Omar was very accommodating to any change we needed and he patiently navigated through our impatience! We are certainly not the easiest people to please and want everything done RIGHT NOW, so he did all he could to keep us updated on the next steps to aliveate our anxiety. No request was too big or small. We had numerous consultations and what we liked the most about Omar was he is more of a craftsman and more personal than a big pool company. He actually listened to our design ideas and customized our spa just for us. Even to the detail of different bench seat heights for each of us and additional jets in our personalized seats. He did most of the work himself so he could better control the quality of the work. He was always available through phone call or text to answer any questions and assured us that service wouldn't stop with the completion of the project. It was a pleasure working with him and highly recommend his services.

It's wonderful! I love how he envisioned how the spa could look with our current pool. It hears in 20 min and is so much more economical than hearing the huge pool. Since it shares water, we were able to use our current filter system. The tiling, granite overflow fountain, and beautiful underwater lights are all nice touches. He takes responsibility and does amazing work! Very professional!

It went so well that we called Omar back again to complete and add additional out door design to the yard surrounding the pool. And no request was ever to small. Omar pays particular attention to design and is open to new ideas. I would hire him again in a minute and hope others can allow themselves to see the speciality he takes in all his clients and the pride he takes in his work.  I am so glad I did not go with a big company,  I would have missed it all

Omar was very helpful and honest. He walked me through the entire process and gave me tips on keeping my pool clean. Highly recommend the company, great service.

Mr. Kamal was the designer, construction foreman, and frequent hands-on installer for a major pool renovation. He resurfaced my pool, removed a small wading pool adjacent to the swimming area and replaced it with a custom-made, 6-person spa. In doing so, much of the piping and all of the electrical wiring had to be replaced. Omar also assisted in the selection of new tile and pavers. When we could not find accent tiles to coordinate with the tiles along the water's edge, he individually cut  center diamonds and inserted small glass block into approximately 20 tiles to provide coordinated decorative accents. He was able to instruct contracted laborers to remove the old child's pool without disturbing the pool screen. Throughout the project, Mr. Kamal made recommendations of design elements that provided a beautiful, updated look to the entire pool area. He worked diligently, with few breaks, until the project was complete. On occasion he brought family members in to assist in order to meet his time schedule. The old kool deck was covered with travertine tile and the canilever edges replaced with clean angles. The result was a pool area that looks sensational!
Prior to hiring Mr. Kamal, I consulted at least 12 other pool companies; none seemed as committed to providing quality service as Grand Aquatics. Since the installation,  Omar has been providing intermittent technical support for my pool equipment. Recently he installed a remote panel to best operate the spa. Mr.Kamal is in high demand and works continuously; occasionally he needs a reminder if a request has been overlooked but he has always done what he says he will do and his prices are extremely reasonable for the work he does. I cannot speak highly enough regarding his talents and his commitment to providing good service. You will do yourself a disservice if you do not investigate using Grand Aquatics to renovate an existing pool or build a new pool.
