ECO Roofing and Windows

I contracted with James Lester of Eco Roofing for a silicone seal on my flat roof multi-unit commercial building for $50,000.00.  Eco Roofing inspected the roof at least three times before entering into the contract to provide a silicone coating on approximately 15000 square feet of flat roof.  Eco Roofing had previously repaired a leak on one section of this roof.  During the preparation, Eco claimed an ?unforeseen circumstance? on the very section of the roof they had previously repaired and demanded an extra $5000.  When his demand was denied, James Lester pulled his crew off that section of roof to leverage his position leaving the roof without protection from water intrusion.  James Lester later stated he misunderstood and that section of roof could be coated without the extra he had demanded.

Eco Roofing coated the roof during a period when it rained almost every day.  During the process of preparing and coating the roof, Eco Roofing allowed water intrusion into several units causing considerable damage to the ceilings and contents as well as inconvenience for the tenants.

Eco Roofing failed to comply with manufacturers specifications and failed to use good workmanlike practices in preparing and coating the roof.  The result is we have catastrophic failure of the coating in ponding areas, poor adhesion or blistering in many areas, improper treatment of the roof edge leaving fish mouths and material that is not adhered to the substrate allowing water intrusion.

After Eco roofing made minimal attempts to repair issues, many issues remain including catastrophic failure in ponding areas, blistering, fish mouths and material that is not adhered to the substrate and we have leaks.
I have paid $40000 of the price and have demanded the repair of deficiencies and damages to units.  Eco refuses to take care of issues and bring the project up to standards. 

I now have water damage in my bedroom wall and extensive water all along and inside the back outside walls of both bedrooms.  A brick size swelling that is very squishy has materialized on one wall.  My insurance company came out and showed me all the holes around the one window we had specifically talked about where no sealant was put in--only put in a few places for those 20 minutes of actual work at the cost of $250!  
This happened during the last hard rain on July 25, 2013 and was inspected today on the 26th.  I just left a message for Mr. Lester to please return my call since my receipt says it is warrantied for one year.  I cannot read the workman's name, but do not want him to return.  His License # is 1329306 and appears on Eco Roofing and Windows, LLC letterhead.

On 6 Mar 2013, my mortgage company informed me that they could not proceed on refinancing my house because there was a lien document on file at the county court.  I contacted Mr Lester of ECO roofing and explained that he would have to file a Waiver and Release of Lien at the county court in order for my refinancing to proceed.  Mr Lester informed me that he usually files the commencement of work (lien) document and lets it expire after one year.  This is a case of willful neglect.  Mr Lester told me that he would take care of the matter.  I informed him that the interest rate is only locked in for so long,  I contacted him the next day and got the run around.  He has not returned susequent calls.  Be careful.
