LOST ALL VIDEO FROM CAMERA'S . CALLED THREE DAYS IN A ROW. LEFT MESSAGE WITH PLEASANT FEMALE, WHO SAID SOMEONE WOULD CALL BACK..  NEVER RECEIVED THE COURTESY OF A CALL BACK..  INITIAL  INSTALLATION TOOK  LONGER THAN SCHEDULED AND THEY WERE NEVER ON TIME .EVERY STEP OF THE PROCESS HAS BEEN PAINFUL.  I ALWAYS HAD TO CALL THEM TO DETERMINE STATUS..I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY, DUE TO VERY POOR SERVICE LEVEL AND LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM . TRANSFERRING TO ANOTHER PROVIDER.

Randi showed up on time and knew exactly what he needed to do to get my alarm system connected to the monitoring company. The only problem is now my outside siren does not work. I called Randi and asked him to let me know when he was in the area so he could come back out and fix the outside siren.

On numerous occasions, representatives of American Alarm failed to show up as scheduled with no explanation. On April 23, we sent a registered to American Alarm referencing our concerns about the companys failure to complete the project in a timely manner as per the contract. One of the issues has been not being able to view the cameras remotely. We had to call our IT person to come in and help the installer from Americn Alarm on the IP side of the system.  Our IT person turned a bill in to American Alarm but they did not pay. We paid the bill of $200.00. As of July 14, 2012 our cameras still do not function properly and some are not operating at all. We called in another security camera professional, Shane Robins owner of MSR Technologies and our IT person and asked them to diagnos and fix the existing problems with the cameras.Upon looking in the DVR boxes to the outside cameras, Mr Robins and Mr Hutchinson, (IT person) found that the way American Alarm has the security camera system wired is incorrect and is wired improperly. The DVR in the office that records the cameras is not an IP DVR so therefore will not record some of the cameras. Mr Robins and Mr Hutchinson confirmed there is no good way to offer to repair the system as it is set up now and no guarantee the security system will last. MSR Technologies will replace the existing cameras and install correct ones. They will provide a proper DVR and get the system operating properly as stated in our contract with American Alarm. We would like for American Alarm Systems of Central Florida to pay this bill for our district because it is their failure to supply us with the proper cameras and viewing system. We have given Americna Alarm Systems of Central Florida many opportunities to rectify the problems and make it right and they have never been able to solve the existing issues. We will not allow them back on the property.

I started using them over a year ago. My main complaint was that they wouldn't show up when they were supposed to be here. They took forever to complete the job and they overcharged me. They never really completed the job. I won't use them again if I can get away from them.

Pasquale, the initial installer was awesome - he was in and out in a few hours and he installed a new keypad, a new control box, two motion detectors and a smoke detector.  All was well for a while, then we started to get intermittent false alarms on the hard wired zones.  Suffice it to say, the old wiring was defective on a few contacts and after a bunch of trial and error (originally, there were 5 openings on the same zone and two of them were defective) and adding an expander board so that these 5 openings could each become its own zone, the problems were resolved.  These problems were certainly not the fault of the installer.  In fact, to recreate the false alarms took a few weeks. And a few return trips.  One of the problems only occured when the sun first hit the back of the house and only if it was clear and sunny at around 9 A.M.  But the system is finally working and we're very satisfied.
