Rock Solid Roofing

It is seldom that I feel so positively about a business that I will take the time to post a review. But in the case of ROCK SOLID ROOFING, I will make an exception. I received a quote a year ago and was unable to go ahead with a replacement roof at the time. A year later they honored the quote. They arrived when scheduled, completed the work in a most timely manner, even with the challenges of south Florida weather. The completed work was beyond expectations. It certainly met the contracted agreement. But far more than that, the cleanup was so thorough that no one would know such a massive task was just completed! When they met an unforseen circumstance - actually beyond their control - they were gracious in accomodating our concerns. This is the way businesses are supposed to operate, but something that seems so lost in most other businesses. If I had ten more roofs to replace, I would not even consider another company. Fair pricing, excellent workmanship, sound business ethics. This is the place to do business. They have my HIGHEST possible endorsement.

they were suppose to start right after Labor Day , because of hurricane coming in they said lets wait till after hurricane goes through and you will be first on the list. lol well that wasn't true. 5 weeks later is when they started the job (into 3rd week of October). overall the job was okay

The job was done in a shorter time than we expected and was done professionally. Very happy with the job from start (estimate) to finish (job done). Excellent!!!!!!!!!

I called to get an estimate and Rock Solid Roofing (Jeff) got back to me quite quickly and went to inspect. He saw some rot places in the roof and took it on his own to cover them up even before he took the job. I thought that was very considerate of him. He called with an estimate and I was very pleased considering other contractors were either too slow getting back to me or their estimates were much higher. The other contractors estimates were for "roof overs". And one other shingle estimate was too high. RSR also tarped my home immediately and an opening was available for them start right away. Roof was done in two days and carport was done the following week. Pictures were sent to me from day one, when he first inspected, till completion of the entire job. Make note: I am living 1200 miles away while all this is happening. Was able to get down to Florida before project started to meet with RSR to sign contract and pay downpayment and I returned after project was done and was very pleased with the outcome. Everything was cleaned up and looked just as new if not newer. Thank you RSR and most of all, Jeff, was extremely professional at what he does. Also, good thing I went with a Shingle roof instead of a Roof Over because a lot of the roof was rotten and needed replaced. If a Roof Over was done I would not have found all the damage underneath the shingles. Very wise decision to go with shingles. Guarantee and warranty were provided.

Fast, responsive and complete estimate. It was almost too fast, making me think there might be hidden costs, but I was assured there would be none and that turned out to be very much the case - the quoted price was exactly what I paid. 
The quote was not the lowest I received, but definitely not the most expensive either. And the lead time was where they really excelled - they were able to fit me in fairly quickly.
Another positive: they actually have someone who answers the phone during the day. So many other roofing companies just have voice mail and it's a mystery as to whether they will return your call. 
Scheduling the job was complicated, but only because of the weather and they kept me well-apprised of the schedule and when they would be starting.
The job was very well done. The work crew was professional and unobtrusive.
The roof looks great and seems to be very well installed. I am very satisfied and would recommend Rock Solid to anyone needing a new roof.

Rock Solid Roofing, Inc. did a wonderful job on
our new metal roof. However, I almost
made a major mistake... let me explain.
I found this company when they were just completing another metal roof on
the street behind our house. I was most
impressed by the quality of that work and their crew. Anyway, I then checked on Angie's List and
found that all of the comments were highly positive, except one. And that had me wondering... until I read
between the lines. I remember a
consultant once warning me that there are devious and unfair people out there
who will complain without a valid reason, only to try to avoid paying their
bill. That single negative comment appeared
to fit that pattern, so I elected to ignore it.
And am I glad I did. Rock Solid
Roofing far exceeded our expectations.
They even cleaned out our dryer vent (it vents out on the roof) which
was really jammed up and could have caused a fire. All metal roofs are NOT the same and their
use of quality materials and their expertise in application exceeds anything I
have ever seen (and years ago I even worked for a builder myself). They are simply the best of all the others. In
case you are wondering, my wife and I have absolutely no connection to this
company, other than being extremely satisfied customers.

eWe got estimates from eight roofers before deciding on Rock Solid Roofing and had hoped to write a wonderful review about the roofing job like the one we read before deciding on this company. Unfortunately, there is little good that I can say about either the roofing job or the company beyond the fact the the owner, Davin, is an affable guy, an effective salesman who tries to please. Nonetheless, his crew (of notably unhappy workers) did the sloppiest, least professional job imaginable of removing and replacing an architectural shingle roof on our house, a relatively simple job, I am led to believe. A few notable examples of incompetence include cutting out two large holes in the roof to accommodate one sun tunnel (because the house was locked I was told), creating an erratic, wavy pattern instead of straight lines when replacing new white shingles that they had tarred by walking on them improperly on a hot day, neglecting to replace rotted wood in the soffit because and quot;we didn't look under there,and quot; lack of ability or concern to use a level in framing a chimney, resulting in a visibly out of plumb structure, etc., etc. Our motivation in writing this completely negative review of the company is not out of animosity to Davin or his employees, even though his failure to pay for the building materlals used on our roof caused Gulf Eagle Supply Company to place a lien on our house (which was just all cleared up today), but rather to save other homeowners from getting deceived into thinking that this company might provide professional roofing services. He was amazing. He was not cheap, but he was well worth the price. He was very informative and up to date on the latest materials. We had a flat roof that was not properly graded; he used state of the art material to correct it. He did the work well, prompt, and efficiently. I was very impressed with him.
