WATERS SEPTIC TANK SVC

The septic tank inspection was passed by the inspector while the drainfield failed. The "senior" inspector came out later to give us an estimate for replacing the drainfield. We chose to get another quote. In getting another estimate the next inspector noted the septic tank had a problem. With us standing right there, he carefully dug around the outlet and unearthed a large visible hole in our septic tank. How that could have been overlooked by not one but two "professionals" from Waters Septic is totally unacceptable. Now we were looking at a full system replacement after having paid for what we thought was an expert inspection by a company that will tell you (over and over) how it prides itself on family integrity, experience, and reliability. When we brought this to the attention of Waters Septic, I was regaled with alarming stories about “those other companies” and how we were going to be ripped off. Never once did I hear an admission of error, an apology or any mention of refund for the incompetent inspection they did. Amazingly, had we known from the onset these problems existed, we wouldn’t feel so violated and deceived and Waters Septic would most likely have gotten the entire job. We have had the entire system (tank and leach field with permits) replaced quickly, professionally by another company, and for a cost close to the estimate from Waters for just the leach field! I would have to say the Waters' employee that pumped the tank did a good job - quick, clean, and no damage to the driveway or area. If you just need a pump they are probably good. If you need to rely on an inspection (for your own peace of mind or for sale of property) I'd go elsewhere. Our experience was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. If not detected, it could have been an environmental and financial disaster.

During a storm, my septic tank became overwhelmed and my pump broke down. I can replace my own pump, but I needed the tank pumped & possible other repairs. After calling another septic company on this list, I didn't like what they had to say, so I called Waters. This is the most honest, friendly & helpful service company of any kind I have ever used. Not only did I get my tank pumped for 1/3 of the price the other company quoted as they said they were in "emergency mode" (sounded like post storm gouging to me), they gave me great tips on the pump repair I was doing myself as well as other pointers. I will be needing a major repair soon, and I will be making one phone call. Waters is now my "SEPTIC COMPANY FOR LIFE"!
