My phone suddenly wouldn't turn on one day, so I brought it to them. It otherwise was in great condition both functionally and cosmetic. About 5 minutes after their "guaranteed diagnoses time period" they called me and let me know it had a bad battery and it needed to be replaced. I said "okay " to the repair and came to pickup my device the next day. When I came to pickup the device it had damage to the screen. They stated it was heat related damage and was "already there" but it had "gotten worse" with the repair. In that conversation they both told me that what they did couldn't possibly have done that type of damage, and they told me that the heat they had to apply to open it had made damage that was existing worse. Since they damaged my phone, I asked them to fix it. They told me they'd give me 10% off the $300 screen repair since the "damage was already there". Then it became 25% off was the "lowest they could possibly go", and then it became 50% off when I argued with them more. I specifically asked them to see photos of the damage that existed before I brought in the phone, because I had a signed piece of paper stating my phone was in great condition. I was told they "normally took photos, but didn't in this case". Total BS. I ended up walking out of there with them "refunding my battery replace cost of $99". Meanwhile my $450 phone had become work about $250 with the damage. I was frustrated, but figured at least I got a new battery out of the deal. The battery life had gotten shorter and shorter later and I was looking forward to longer battery life... if they hadn't lied about that either. The battery life of a brand new battery (e.g. A battery replacement), is a LOT longer than a battery that was 2-3 years old like my battery. Yet my battery life was as short if not shorter than ever, showing they didn't even do the battery replacement they claimed they did. As a result I had probably gotten for free a quick resoldering of my existing battery and that was it; in addition to over $200 worth of damage. To add insult to injury, my phone has never been the same since. Every since then it will freeze up randomly and have screen issues (Which have nothing to do with the battery). As a result they definitely messed something up, and I have nothing to show for it.
