DO NOT HIRE SIGNATURE LAWN SERVICE!!! If I could leave 0 stars I would. This company is TERRIBLY run and there is A LOT of miscommunication between the management and staff, which you will inevitably pay for in wasted time, money, and aggravation. Not to mention the owner/operator Greg is extremely rude and hot-headed. ***I’ve attached pictures of my written requests as well as my overgrown yard, pictures of when I cleared it myself, and account payment history*** I hired this company to maintain a rental property of mine and asked MULTIPLE times for them to maintain the bushes and overgrowth since we've started and was repeatedly told that it would get done but it never was. I was even asked to submit a written request to their online site months ago, which I gladly did TWICE and still, the work was not done. Over the last 6 months, I would periodically call the business line and it was never answered, and I’d never get called back. It got to the point that I drove up to Sarasota from Fort Lauderdale in February 2020 to see the property, and when I finally got to see how bad it was, I decided to cut down the overgrowth myself and asked them to simply maintain it so it wouldn’t grow back again. I even mentioned I’d be willing to pay more per month for this, but once again, they didn’t do the work. When my tenant again inevitably notified me that it was back to being overgrown, I once again reached out but continued to get no answer or a call back. Recently, they hired a secretary (Katie) to answer/return calls who is nice but seems overwhelmed with the customers that have been neglected by the owner Greg. When I first started, I spoke with the previous (Co-Owner Andy) and mentioned that this was a rental property and that I’d prefer to pay my bill every few months so I didn’t have to log in each month and pay. He agreed, and I have since always paid my bill every 3-5 months (as shown in the attached picture. But I guess this message wasn’t relayed to the current owner because when I finally spoke to Katie this month, trying to get the overgrowth taken care of, the owner cut into the phone call and started yelling that I owed him money and threatened me with a lien before hanging up without giving me a chance to respond. I decided to pay my account, excluding this month, and told them that if they’d prefer I would gladly pay them monthly, that I just wanted them to take care of all of the work they hadn’t been doing. I called and spoke with Katie again a couple days later and she was kind and explained that Greg himself told her about how disorganized things have been and how he can’t remember what was what with some of the accounts. I held back my last month's payment until they did the work. They finally did it, but they billed me an additional $100 for it. When I called to explain that I shouldn’t have to pay that because we’re going on almost a year of me asking for them to maintain it, the owner AGAIN threatened me with a lien saying that he didn’t care and that he’d put a lien on my house. As a business owner myself, I tried to be patient and understanding and just wanted them to correct the issue. But as the saying goes…you can’t fix stupid. At this point, I’ll gladly pay the $100 just to not have to deal with this anymore. Moral of the story… Save yourself the time and aggravation and hire a company that knows what they’re doing and doesn’t try to steal money from you. P.S. It takes a lot to get someone to log in and submit a negative review (this is the first time i’ve ever left one for any business) but felt that it was necessary and one of the only courses of action some consumers have. Take notice of the other negative reviews.
