Mistake.
The person who came was a very nice person, and he DID show up on time - a little early, actually. But he left a LOT of dried dirty fluid all over my sills, inside and out, which I had to go around behind him to clean up. Granted, my windows were VERY dirty, but isn't that why I called them?
Anyway, for 50% more than my neighbor paid for significantly less house and fewer windows, I wouldn't have expected that.
As for the "free" ceiling fan cleaning, as I sit here now writing this, I can look over at my (white) kitchen fan, or lie in bed looking at my (white) BR ceiling fan, and say that the fans were DUSTED - meaning, all he did was smear dust around and they look worse now than they did when he first touched them. They were not CLEANED, and these too (plus the non-white ones in my great room and other BR) I will have to go around behind him and actually CLEAN.
Worst of all, I went to refill my dogs' water bucket after he had left, and discovered that my (rather expensive) non-kink hose as well as my (rather expensive) adjustable-spray hand sprayer were missing off of my carport spigot. When I called SW to report the "error", I heard nothing for the weekend, and finally got an e-mail (not even a phone call) this morning, Monday. I'll cut and paste the contents here:
"I asked Z----- about your garden hose and sprayer. He told me, he never even used it. Used the water only from 2 buckets. He believes it is possible that your huge dogs chewed them, since they were into everything. I hope I was able to answer your question. Regards M----"
Um. Really?
1) So he used two buckets of water for my entire home, and never drew water to refresh them? Maybe that explains the filth left behind on my window sills. So let's assume THAT's a true statement...
2) That hose and sprayer had been out there for a year and my "huge dogs" (Old English Bulldogs) that are "into everything" have never touched either of them. But let's assume my dogs suddenly had an overwhelming urge to attack my garden hose and adjustable sprayer valve...
3) Have any of *YOU* reading this ever heard of ANY dog consuming 25 feet of hose and a sprayer without leaving a trace of either of them, even if they did it over a period of WEEKS?
No?
Neither have I.
I won't be calling Shiny Windows back to my home, and I wouldn't advise anyone else to do so either.
