Paid $24,000 in full. Doors leak one day after installation. Fails Manatee County inspection. Water entering our home every day. After 2 weeks company still refuses to say when repair will be made. Refuses to disclose what parts have been ordered.

Window was caulked and approximately 18 months later window had a major leak. Called office to have them recaulk window again. They refused. Manager refused to even talk to me. Called them 4 different times before owner finally said they would come and look at it. Price to recaulk was extremely high, so I request a quote for a new window. Their price came in at $1000 more than 2 other quotes I received for a new window. Extremely disappointed. This in not a "A" rated company.

Kevin (the second in command) was professional as well as half of the workers. We were told it would be done in June, it started July 25th and finished in October. Obviously there were issues, the owner just seemed very inexperienced.

After extensive research and proposals from 3 companies, I contracted with Sarasota Glass & Mirror (SGM) to replace 20 windows, 3 large sliders, and 2 doors with PGT impact-resistant products. My outstanding experience with SGM started at the first visit of their sales rep, Terry, who had extensive experience as an installer before moving into sales. Terry patiently answered many questions and freely shared his knowledge and experience in multiple meetings before I selected SGM. There was no sales pressure, only a focus on answering all of my questions and giving me a high quality proposal. In addition to their expertise and experience, I selected SGM because they only use employees for installation - no subcontractors. I only had 10 business days to complete the job, and SGM committed to provide two installation crews to meet my timing needs. Throughout the installation, the SGM employees, in crews led by Whit and Steve, were professional, meticulous, friendly, and respectful of my home. Their work areas were always neat and clean, and their tools and materials were organized and stored at the end of each day. Their workmanship and the completed installations were outstanding, and the 10 day job was finished in 7 days. From beginning to end, the project was well organized and executed. Scott, Terry, Whit, Steve and all of the SGM employees with whom I interacted were knowledgeable and provided outstanding customer service throughout. I could not be more pleased with the job and highly recommend Sarasota Glass & Mirror.

Sarasota Glass and Mirror, Inc., recently replaced 19 windows in our home with PGT impact-resistant windows. We chose this company instead of a competitor, whose price was similar, because Sarasota Glass has employee installers. The competitor uses subcontractors. Our choice was the right one. The installation crew, headed by Terry, installed the first 17 windows quickly and nicely, despite the usual challenges posed by retrofitting windows. The other two windows—both custom shapes—required much more work (removal of stucco, etc.,) but the finished product was excellent.

The installation crew was professional, meticulous, clean, highly experienced, and pleasant. We could not be more pleased with the job. The office staff and management were also responsive and professional in every respect. Subsequent to installation, we had one service request, which was taken care of quickly and positively. We highly recommend Sarasota Glass and Mirror, Inc.

When they tried to install the door they let us know that part of the wall needed to be repaired before they attach the new door to the tile.  We called in our handyman and he tore off the drywall and retiled and repainted the wall before the glass men came back.  Good honest repairmen.  They could have easily screwed the door to the wall and not notify us of the problem.

That same door now needs to have its glass replaced and a new door put
in it. Called them only to be told that they don't do that work anymore

Called, set up appt for estimate. Received phone call promptly, stating price and arranging a time for repair. Somewhere the ball was dropped. I sent full pymt (instead of half now, half later) and the work wasn't done. Thankfully someone a Sarasota glass noticed and called me to schedule again for repair. Since I am not local, I haven't seen finished work. After a week again, I called because I haven't received a receipt, either.

They were very courteous. Their delivery service was in the reasonable time. Installation went well. They had a small issue that they came right back to take care of. I would recommend them. They do good work.

Sarasota Glass and Mirror appeared to be a good company with a decent price. The technical person who came out to measure also seemed to be okay. That's where our satisfaction ended.
The overall problem with this company is that they have no internal organization, paperwork or otherwise, that would enable them to actually provide a good service done right the first time.
First shower: Problems included: 1) entire shower leaked like a sieve because they forgot to caulk it correctly, they came out a week later and re-installed it;2) the dimensions on the door and the wall panel were inversed. They ordered (or received from the fabricator) a narrow door and a wide side panel...exactly the opposite of what we ordered. They gave us a discount and convinced us to live with it; 3) they ordered the wrong door handle and it took 1-2 weeks to figure everything out.
Second shower: this shower has always leaked since the day it was installed...the shower leaks so badly that there is a puddle on our son's bathroom floor and now the basboard and the wall have started getting mildew growing! I called Sarasota Glass and Mirror several times, but I was stopped by the receptionist...The company refused to come out and fix it because I lost my little yellow slip of paper with the job order number on it...so they said that they could not fix the leak under the 1-year warranty and they would have to charge me for the and quot;repairand quot;. Even though I could tell them the day that the shower door was ordered and the day that it was installed and the name of the sales person (Tom), they said that they had no way of dealing with my request for repair because they had no organization of files by customer name, address, or phone number. They only file things according to work number...so if you lose the little yellow piece of paper that you may be lucky enough to receive on the day your shower is installed...that is the only way to get any service on your job. I was shocked.
In the meantime, it now is clear that they used under-sized hinges for the second shower door, it has always creaked (which they tried to tell me was normal) and now the door is sagging and ruining the marble threshold with scratches. I suggest you steer clear of this company for any project you may be considering. They give the appearance of being a real company, but they are so poorly organized I really wonder how they even have stayed in business this long.

Great people too! Ordered it, two days later they callled to pick it up, paid for it, took it home.

Scott did the original estimate and measurements and when everything was ready the install went very smoothly. The final check of the short punchlist will happen soon. We have been very pleased with the quality of the work and the professionalism of the craftsmen who installed the windows and doors.
