"Thank you for taking the time to post a review. We hope you are able to rectify the problem caused by the company who cleaned your rug. NOTE: We came to the aid of this particular customer after another company caused color bleed on her rug when they washed it. She contacted us and we immediately provided advice (free of charge) and suggested a few tips so that she may hopefully rectify the problem caused by this other company. We did not wash the rug and even tried to save her money by recommending tips for her to try at home. Remember, always use a reputable company (like Rugs As Art) who specializes in cleaning oriental and area rugs (as opposed to dry cleaners, carpet cleaners, etc.)."

"While we appreciate you taking the time to write a review, we are certainly concerned to hear that you feel the way you do. We are a family business and we take reviews (whether positive or negative) seriously and personally. Please note that we truly pride ourselves on providing the very best customer service possible. Of course, the awards we have received are a testament to this (Best Rug Store in America from AmericasMart and the Oriental Rug Importers Association, Sarasota Herald Tribune Readers' Choice (21 years running), Sarasota Magazine Best of Best, Chamber of Commerce Insignia Award for Best Customer Service, Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year... and the list goes on). The rug in question was brought to us on September 26, 2012 (as opposed to May 2013). In all due respect, although you indicated that we “didn’t clean the rug very well” the first time and the second time it “wasn’t fully cleaned,” we wholeheartedly disagree with this. Although we thoroughly cleaned the rug as we do with all rugs that are brought to us, you were not satisfied with the result. Therefore, we offered and did in fact clean your rug a second time free of charge. After we washed the rug again, we assumed all was well. That is, until we received this review almost two years later. You indicated that your wife stated that she “should have had us clean it a third time.” Although that was most likely unnecessary (the rug had been thoroughly washed twice), we would have done that for her if she would have requested. While we stand behind our expert cleaning services (backed up by our overwhelmingly positive Angie’s List reviews), we cannot magically turn a soiled used rug into a brand new one. If your expectations were that your rug would look brand new again, that is unfortunately beyond any rug washer’s capability. In the end, it is regrettable that you feel the way you do, but please know that we do everything in our power to get everyone’s rugs as clean as possible. Thank you, Rugs As Art"

"At first Rugs as Art wanted to give the rug some reasonable time to lay flat. Once the rug was installed the not laying flat should correct itself within a short time. Understanding the member's concerns we then returned immediately and picked up the rug, steamed it so allowing the rug to lay flat and returned it as soon as possible. I might add... there was never an issue of not wanting to do anything at first. Rugs As Art prides itself and is known for exceptional customer service. Rugs As Art just recently received the prestigious " Insignia Award" given by the Sarasota Chamber of Commerce for "Outstanding Customer Service" in our communty.
