I had many bids for this job and ultimately selected Tom based on price, availability, and general impressions. He showed up on time and worked several days straight to remove the old cabinets and complete the drywall removal/restoration. I was impressed at his attention to detail. The new texture on the wall matched the old texture. The new smaller cabinets (over the sink) are very buitt. He also moved my old kitchen cabinets (an afterthought) to the laundry room and installed them over the dishwasher at a low cost. He had good ideas for design, and didn't charge a lot extra for minor modifications.
Unfortunately, He did not follow through on everything promised.
The sides of the cabinet in the pass through needed to be finished with veneer and he asked me to pick up the veneer (while he worked on the cabinets) and stain which he later applied rather sloppily. While the cabinets are nice, the stain was not fully absorbed in the veneer and looks awful. He suggested that I go to the paint store to try and find a lacquer or polyurethane to make the surface look like the cabinet surface. I was very surprised and disappointed that he did not consider this part of the original project and justof washed his hands of the situation.
