My wife and I purchased a microwave from Mullet's and unfortunately, it was a lemon. We needed a 3rd heating element in less than a year. When the manufacturer learned about our problems, they offered to send a new element so long as Mullet's would provide them confirmation the part was indeed bad. But when I contacted Mullet about this, they would only come out if we paid them a service call charge. Why in the world would I throw more money at a product that was clearly a lemon??? This outfit does not stand behind their products. I will never do business with them again, and you shouldn't either!!

They are a company that charges ala carte I recently reached out for a evlauation of an appliance I was to bring in. I was told I had an open charge of $78.02 from 2019. A service tech came to my house to do a range repair and when asked about my refreigerator rubber seal needed replacement, I knew that just from seeing it. They charged $25.00 because of even though they were there for the range he looked at mt refrigerator without tell me if he did I would be charged. Talk about petty. Who runs a business like that.

I would not recommend Mullet's. We had an issue when we ordered our washer/dryer- we ordered one and on the scheduled day of arrival, they called to say its out of stock! So we choose a different washer/dryer and Finally about a month later we got a washer/dryer. Less than a year later the dryer knob cracked and we cudnt use it until replaced. After not hearing from them for 2 weeks after notifying then of the issue, I called and they apologized for forgetting to place the order and it will take another 2 weeks for the part. The scheduled day came and they called to say the part didn't come in so it won't be replaced that day, 10 days later I called to see where it is, i hadnt heard anything since and they said it won't come in until another 2 weeks, a total of 2 months for a small dryer knob. It's been really frustrating.

Both went very well. We have been using mullets since our house was built . Mullets utilized in our house that is what was Done by our builder and we have used them for last 17 years. We love the fact that the people that are there have been there some for 17 years and that is sign good company . Just to let you know over time we have dealt with sales. Receptionist, parts, technicians and of course billing ! The good thing about Mullets is that no matter what your budget can allow lower or you can go high end and you are treated very well no matter what your budget allows. ! The staff are great and we have gotten to know them over the years. In all the departments. We will never go anywhere else !! The sign of a good store is the staff and how you are treated and the appliances in all our years we have only need to replace stove and dishwasher . And microwave! If you need any kind of an appliance you will not be sorry if you go to Mullets ! You will be treated well and you will not be sorry ! The measure of a good store is how well the staff work together no matter which department you are in . They make a great team! I would love to have mentioned everyone by name but did not want to leave anyone out!! Be sure to tell them Linda and Bruce sent you! You will be glad you did!

After having made our appliance picks at Home Depot our contractor recommended Mullet's expecting better delivery timing. We had to re-pick 7 of 9 units. We are dissatisfied or have had problems with 6 of 7 units recommended by Mullet's. Including Scott Mullet's unwillingness to replace a defective refrigerator. We wish we had not used Mullet's.

It turned out that the door interlock switch was broken. Apparently, that is a common breakdown on microwaves. But we were pleased it was not the microwave emitter that was broken. (Or the dual-flux capacitor!) That would have cost a lot more. And it was great to not have to replace a $1000 Dacor microwave.

In August, 2016, I schedule Mullet’s to repair a refrigerator. When scheduling, I told Adrian that the wood floors in my house are extremely soft and that I wanted the technician to call me before moving the refrigerator out. I was not in Florida over the summer so I arranged for a friend to meet the technician. She let him in the house but was not in the kitchen when he pulled out the refrigerator and did not realize he had not called me. She signed a small box on a service order form that authorized the repair and payment authorization. She was not given a copy of the service order form, and one was not left at the house. A few days after the repair was completed, my house watch service arrived for the routine weekly visit. This individual is the one who found that the refrigerator was malfunctioning so upon arrival she checked to see if it had been repaired. As she did, she noticed indentations in the wood flooring that she had not seen the prior week. She sent me photos of the indentations and called to discuss. I told her that there had previously not been any damage to the floor in that area. I called Adrian at Mullet’s and told her that the technician did not call me before beginning work, as I had requested. I told her about the floor indentations that were not previously there and that when I returned in the fall, I would look to see how bad the damage is and would likely be back in touch with Mullet’s. Upon return in late October, I called Mullet’s and the contact spoke with the technician. He maintained that he used proper slides for pulling out the refrigerator and that the floor was damaged before he pulled it out. He said he reported the prior damage to the person who unlocked the house and that she signed a form acknowledging the damage. With that, the Mullet’s contact said that his firm was not responsible for the damage. I requested a copy of the referenced form which turned out to be the service order mentioned above. In the bottom left corner, I saw a small box that authorized the work and payment and my representative’s signature. In the Notes section at the top, the technician had written “Found floor damaged on arrival. House keeper aware of it”. Upon reading this, I contacted the individual who unlocked the house and asked her about this Note and about the discussion that the technician supposedly had with her about the prior damage. She stated that she was not in the room when the technician began work and pulled the refrigerator out. She was adamant that she and the technician had no discussion about prior damage nor did he tell her that he had found prior damage and was noting it on the form. With this information, I contacted Mullet’s again and was referred to Scott Mullet. I left 3 voice mails before he finally called me back. He said he would talk with the technicians and requested photographs. He responded by email with the same information above and stated that the appliance glides they use would not make marks of any kind on the flooring. Mr. Mullet went on to conjecture about who else might have had access to my home while I was away and stated that maybe the house watch company pulled the refrigerator out. I responded to Mr. Mullet’s email outlining facts as I knew them from my two representatives. I pointed out that it appeared he believes his technician’s version of the events to be factual and that I believe my two representative’s version of the events to be factual, in addition to my own memory that the floor was not previously damaged. In an attempt to break the impasse and be fair to us both (and to allow me to continue doing business with Mullet’s), I proposed to Mr. Mullet that we split the estimated $1,000 cost of the repair 50/50. Mr. Mullet responded as before saying that his technician’s statements are factual and stating that my representative knew about the prior damage. He rejected my offer to split the repair cost and instead, offered to refund the service call of $69. He closed his email with “I personally think that your house watch company is trying to pull one on you. Let me know if you would like the $69 credit.” In my final correspondence with Mr. Mullet, again stated out that we have two different views of the facts. I pointed out that I had not personally attacked or impugned the integrity of his technician but that same courtesy had not been extended to my house watch person. I also pointed out that I thought my offer to split the repair cost 50/50 was gracious because I was positive there were no indentations on the floor when Ieft for the summer and neither of my representatives had moved the refrigerator. I declined his offer of the $69 credit and indicated I will be taking all of my future appliance purchases, including the imminent refrigerator replacement, to another company. In my opinion, rejecting a reasonable and fair offer to close this matter for $500 signals to me that Mullet’s neither cares about my future business nor about the reputation of their company. I am certain Mr. Mullet will respond to this review and state that his technician’s statements are the facts and discount my statements above but they are supported not only by what I know was the condition of my home when I left it but also by my two representatives.

They have a great reputation in town. I felt comfortable with them as if they will certainty stand by their word. I walked in, told him what I wanted, he gave me options and images, and we selected and ordered same day. They were delivered on time. This was a very painless experience. It was only about a half hour start to finish.

They stated they would get the part necessary in a day, but it took over a week! They were also only available Monday's and Thursday's, which was very inconvenient. I was unable to wash my clothing for a week! I felt those in the office were unapologetic for the delay. I will never use them again as they don't accommodate the customer at all!
Response from MULLET'S APPLIANCES INC*
"I apologize for your feelings about our service. We strive to provide our customers with the highest standard of service in the industry which is why we have been in business doing service and sales since 1974. We ordered your part the same day the technician was at your house and, unfortunately, at that point we are at the mercy of the manufacturer on actually getting the part. You are correct it did take 5 business days to get the part and we do only go to your area of Bradenton twice a week. As for the price of the service, we actually use a national flat rate book that about 80% of service companies use and in this area we are actually the lowest priced service company and the highest rated at the same time. Again, I'm sorry for your feelings towards our service. Thank You, Scott Mullet"

We purchased appliances from them - they were delivered and installed promptly. When we had a problem with the control panel on the double oven, they were responsive and first repaired it, then eventually replaced it.

I was called with an approximate arrival time as promised. The technician, Doug, arrived shortly after the earliest time given. Doug went right to work and immediately diagnosed the problem, based on his experience. The part needed was on his truck and he had it replaced, the bill prepared and was on his way in about 30 minutes. A very professional job all around. I would highly recommend them.

They called back when they said they would, fixed a day and time, called that day to give us a 2 hr "window", arrived on time and did the job efficiently, leaving no mess. It was somewhat expensive but worth every penny - would definitely use them again.

While installing the new appliances, they discovered we did not have adequate electrical to wire the cooktop. They also discoverd the microwave would not fit. They installed the double oven and came back the following week to install a different microwave. They were very helpful in getting the microwave quickly. We also discovered a problem with the double oven. Their service department came out quickly and got the part ordered. They have been very helpful and responsive.
