Mr. Electric of Bradenton

They estimated $350 to replace a can light which I thought was pricey but as I am selling unit agreed to it just to get it done. They came and measured light. Had to come back with new light. They scheduled for a week later. They called and cancelled my appointment the day they were supposed to come so zero advance warning. Rescheduled it two days later - again knowing I’m butting up against a closing date. They installed light fixture (see photo) which was clearly too small for existing opening. As closing us looming I had to have my contractor out next morning to fix it. In working with Mr Electric on the price they told me I would still need to pay for the cost of the light fixture alone. Well, despite the fact that Home Depit sells it for $26 they charged me $250 as they claim that is the fixture cost. You decide if you believe that. This company is incompetent. Two contractors looked at this work and laughed at how ridiculously bad it is. Buyers beware - stay way away from this scam of a company. If I had the time I would have had them reinstall my broken old fixture but closing is too soon. They know this and took full advantage of me. I never write these type of reviews but this was just too heinous not to share as I wouldn’t want anyone else to have a similar experience. Next time try Ace Electric or any of the other reputable companies in Sarasota and save yourself a major hassle.
