We manufacture and install high quality plantation shutters. We work directly with the customer and have 6 employees working in an 8,000 SF shop. We have been in the same location for over 15 years and enjoy the best reputation for quality shutters and excellent service. We welcome tours of our shop at any time.

Gary from Millennium Shutters measured all of the windows and doors in our house for plantation shutters. The shutters would be manufactured in their shop in Sarasota. Before deciding to go with Millennium Shutters I received two quotes from other companies. While Millennium Shutters was not the least expensive the price was very fair and they give a discount to Angies List subscribers.
Six weeks after signing the contract Gary's crew arrived to install the shutters. The shutters are very high quality and were painted with exact paint used to paint the trim in the house at no extra charge. The installers were very professional, friendly and cleaned up everything when they were done. When they were done, I was so pleased that I immediately ordered an additional shutter that will be installed next week.

After speaking with the owner, Gary Peters, over the phone, we scheduled a time to look at samples and take a tour of their manufacturing facility. We even had our 13 mo. old daughter with us, and Gary had no problem with her checking out the samples too! Subsequent to that great experience, Gary (again, the owner - not someone else) came out to our home to measure all of our windows. That experience was pleasant. During that time, he shared with us the history of the company and educated us a bit about plantation shutters. It never felt "sales-y." After taking all of the measurements (which included three regular windows, three sliders, two longer narrow windows, and a door, and side window), he quoted us, and explained the specifics of the quote. All we needed to decide was how many and which windows we wanted to get done - which we did within five minutes of him leaving; all of them! I called him back the following morning. The terms were simple... I dropped off a 50% deposit, and he said they would be done in 4-6 weeks. In early January (shortly after the first), I gave him a call just to check in as we were very excited to get them installed. Gary told us they would be there that Friday at 10:00 a.m.; and that's exactly what happened. Two of the guys that manufactured them by hand in the facility came out to do the install. They were very nice and very professional. Because we had so many windows to do, they had to come back the following Monday - they actually offered to come back on Saturday but we had a scheduling conflict. Sure enough, they came back Monday morning and finished the job by noon. Of course before they left, I asked them to measure the two windows in our Guest Bedroom that we hadn't previously gotten measured!!! They said they were used to being asked that at the end of a job - I guess it happens frequently! :)
Within a day of the shutters getting installed, I shared how much we loved them with a co-worker looking to get a couple of windows done in her home (in addition to previously-installed shutters she already has), and a friend who is just completing the building a new home with his wife and needs window treatments for all their windows.
