Mike Payne

We cannot say enough about Mike. While we were visiting Florida, my husband fell in love with the water. He found Mike on Angie's List. Mike showed us (with our two year old), at least 10 houses. He was GREAT with our son. After returning home to another state, he kept sending us house photos. When a listing popped up (with only one photo) that looked extremely interesting, he drove to the house and "face-timed" us as he walked around the inside and outside of the house, being honest about the pros and cons as he did so. We flew out to see the house and spent at least 8 hours at the house, with Mike right there, as Gary and I discussed and re-discussed every room, layout, possibility etc. He very quickly lined up a very thorough home inspection (not to mention all the other contacts he gave us) and we bought the house. Throughout the process, he has been THE hardest working, most detail orientated, knowledgeable, thorough and honest real estate agent we have ever worked with. We have absolutely NO qualms in recommending Mike Payne Real Estate.

This is the fourth real estate transaction with MIKE PAYNE as my real estate agent (buyer agent) and Mike never lets me down. He is a consummate professional and knows the real estate market in this area like no other I know. Mike truly wants his clients to be informed so they can make the best decision for themselves. First let me say, I don't give many reviews, but this is an exception for an exceptional experience.
I have bought and sold houses in the past and most of the time the experience is what one would expect. Some good, some bad.
Mike Payne made for an exceptional experience.
First and foremost he makes you feel like his only client. There was never any time rush or pushing to move things along.
My time was his time. That is something that can't be said for many real estate people these days.
His professional opinions were honest and unbiased and showed his deep knowledge of real estate and real estate in his area.
He offered suggestions during the search that gave me more information to consider and he listened to my needs based on the information he provided without trying to push me in :hisand quot; direction.
He was tireless in emailing me properties, not just the automated searches, but also provided his local knowledge on the areas, communities, and other details to meet my needs.
As I was buying from afar, he went to a property one evening and took detailed video of the property for me and my wife. Not just pictures, but video so we could have a true virtual walk through much better than standard property one. He highlighted those things that we stated we were interested in and were important to us.
At the time of the negotiation, he again provided honest and clear information, which enabled me to put together a comprehensive and detailed offer to the seller. Even though it had some unique requests, it beat out other offers and was accepted. I doubt without his assistance I would have been in successful in attaining our new home.
When I sell again, you know who my agent will be.

After trying to work with our bank for two years, we made the difficult decision to sell our home. There were plenty of company?s and independent  realtors? around to chose from, and we were not sure which way to go. I happened upon Mikes face book page and immediately felt ?this is the guy I need to speak with?. After our first meeting, I was so impressed by his knowledge and down to earth personality,  we knew we made the right decision. It was like having coffee with the neighbor. A very genuine soul.
Mike handled everything and kept in constant contact with us every step of the way. This man loves helping people. He provides that personal service and takes ownership in the job he does.

My wife and I wanted to move to Sarasota, Florida from Maryland. We were not very familiar with Sarasota at the time and so felt some trepidation about finding the best location to live inside of Sarasota for us. We planned to visit Sarasota for three weeks and use the time to look at houses and become familiar with Sarasota. In preparation for this trip we wanted to have a real estate agent picked out in advance so we could look at houses as soon as our trip started. From Maryland, we contacted several real estate agents via email and fortunately for us Mike was one of them. Mike was the obvious choice because of the detailed emails he sent and the type of questions he asked. The other real estate agents we contacted just sent us house listings through an automated system without first communicating with us. Also, unlike Mike who replied to all of our questions very quickly, the other real estate agents replied only after many days and not in a sufficiently detailed manner. Therefore, with Mike we felt we had found a true real estate professional and that we were in good hands with him. When we finally met Mike in person we were so happy to find that he is truly the nicest and most honest guy you could meet. Throughout the entire house buying process Mike was professional, friendly, timely and never hurried us...we felt like we were Mike's only clients. Mike answered all of our questions and if he did not have the answer he would research the answer and let us know the next day. Mike was with us step by step during the home inspection and settlement process. We felt he was always looking out for our best interests. With Mike's help we found a wonderful house in a fantastic location and we could not be happier. We are now very proud to call Mike our friend as well. I would recommend Mike Payne to all Angie's List members.
