Joe does the work himself with an assistant. Everything is done perfectly. He is far more knowledgeable and conscientious than most roofers. He has tremendous integrity and pride in his work. I wish more people were like Joe. He's a great storyteller as well.

To set the stage: During Florida’s rainiest September on record, we had a serious roof leak, which developed quickly, and which resulted in the collapse of a 12’x6’ section of our front porch ceiling. The leak was such that we feared similar damage to our dining room ceiling as well. We called Gulf Gate Roofing, Inc., mid-morning after scheduled repairs by a larger firm had been delayed for the second time. (The larger firm did not offer “emergency” repair services.) The owner of Gulf Gate—Joe Murray—responded immediately, arrived at our house within ten minutes, removed some roof tiles, identified the likely sources of the leak, and said that he would make the roof temporarily waterproof until he could schedule repairs. At this time, he also provided an estimate for the permanent repairs (which was substantially less than the other firm’s). The temporary repair reduced the leak to just a drip, and—after calling to check on the leak—the owner returned the following morning and repaired another area. Within two days, he and an employee fully repaired the roof and replaced the tiles. This morning, we had more than two inches of rain; there was no leak!
