Prompt and excellent service.

The scope of work was originally determined by Plumbing Today (photo of estimate provided) after my wife called them (I was out of town.) because of a toilet backup causing an overflow. Michael Bissett, Plumbing Technician from Plumbing Today, snaked the line to attempt to remove any blockage. Ryan came a couple days later and used a camera and showed my wife a video of the obstruction. He stated that it could not be dislodged and therefore it was necessary to dig and replace the section. His bid was $4,600 to remove pavers, replace a section of PVC pipe and reinstall pavers. A 5-year guaranteed was provided for “peace of mind”. An alternate solution was offered to attempt to “wash out” the obstruction for $1,350. No guarantee and not recommended. A third choice was provided and identified as a “Permanent Solution” for $6,900 to replace the 3’ PVC with a 4’ pipe from the condo to the street. It came with a 25-year guarantee. I was not able to substantiate the need for replacing the 3” pipe with 4” when I talked with other plumbers. It seemed evident that digging was going to be required and before we spent $4,600 we wanted another estimate. I contacted Fox Plumbing for a second bid for replacing a 4 feet section of 3" PVC pipe going from our condo to the main sewer. Replacing the pipe section required a 5’ section of our paver stones in the driveway to be removed, the section of PVC pipe replaced and the paver stones put back. Fox Plumbing estimated that replacing the pipe section would be $1,000 - $1,300. Paverstone Tech Design, Jose Ortega, Owner, estimated $500 for removing and replacing the pavers. Total bid for all work was $1,500 - $1,800. Both companies are family owned and operated. I opted to go with these two companies because of the positive reviews, they were family owned and operated and the price difference. Anthony from Fox Plumbing came onsite to locate the dig so utilities could be marked. He inquired as to how I was certain of the work needed. I explained what Plumbing Today did and told us. He could not understand why the drain was blocked since construction was done 7 years ago and asked if I minded if he checked for blockage and see if digging could be avoided. He inserted a snake with a ball like end about 2.5 inches in diameter. (photo attached) He successfully ran it all the way to the street connection. I was shocked and then elated. His charge was $265 when I was fully prepared to pay him $1,300. That’s honesty and taking care of the customer first. The professionalism and customer care of Fox Plumbing was outstanding and saved us up to $4,335! $265 versus $4,600. I have since learned that Plumbing Today has incentives for their workers to identify other plumbing work needed. Perhaps that is why drain cleanings are $99 with a FREE camera inspection. Customers also get a $100 referral fee when they refer Plumbing Today to their friends. Incenting employees to “bill more” can color judgement and result in behavior that prevents the customers interest remaining first.

I called them because they did excellent work of another type last year. They responded within hours and came and brought a new water heater and installed it and took away the old one. The work was very clean and they used tarps. Based on my experiences with this company I highly recommend them.

I looked on Angie's List and found Fox Plumbing. I called and they guy came out immediately the next morning and fixed the problem. They are very good. He was really nice. He came right in and said here's your problem. Went up on the roof and unplugged the breather and fixed everything and boom, that was it. His price was very fair. Very responsive. We called at night and he said they try to get to people with emergencies right away.

The young man who came to our house was extremely professional and courteous and thorough. We originally had them come because our kitchen sink drain was clogged somewheres in our walls or under our house. We also had a clogged drain for our washing machine. We were told the year before by rotor router that they could not clear the laundry train because the trap had collapsed and that they would have to jackhammer our tiled concrete floor to repair it. We were told the only other alternative would be to run a new drain line along a wall under our laundry room counter top and tap into the vent pipe that serviced our laundry sink. We were given an estimate of $1800 to repair the laundry room drain. That number did not include the repairs to our floor cabinetry and wall that they would had to have done. When we called Fox they gave us an estimate of $250 (consistent with other plumbers since they had to go up on the roof) to snake the sink drain. While the worker was at our house I told him about the laundry room drain. He used a snake and after about 15 minutes was able to clear a clog in the line. There was no collapsed trap. He charged us less to clear that drain line and he sold sold us an enzyme to pour down the drains periodically to keep them from clogging in the future. Fox saved us about $2,000. We will never use root rooter again. Fox Plumbing is great. We will use them again if needed and highly recommend them.

Great. Courteous workers.

Workmanship and materials are all top quality. They forgot a small step at the end. Given the excellent work it can be forgiven. If I need extra work I would contract them again.

Did not do the work. They would not give me a quote or estimate over the phone and said they charge $69 for a tech to come out and give me a quote. This is the only plumbing Co I've spoken to that wanted to charge me up front to give me an estimate.

Having a problem is never good but the people at Fox Plumbing made the experience less stressful. Debbie was pleasant and helpful on the telephone while setting up the appointment. They came out later on the same day I called and everything was completely professional. The service fee was explained up front and when Amos arrived he checked out the situation and came back with a clear cost of the service, in black and white. He went right to work and took care of the problem in no time and made certain everything was cleaned up. We would totally use Fox Plumbing for any future trouble.

Setting up the appointment was very easy.  We called Tuesday afternoon and they were here, as scheduled, first think Wednesday morning.  Brandon arrived promptly. Showed him each of the three problems and he quickly and neatly set to work and completed all repairs in about 40 minutes. Prices on parts were very reasonable and in line with what we would have paid at the hardware store.

They came out the same day I called. The receptionist was very easy to talk to and polite. The plumbers were prompt and efficient. They solved all my problems quickly. I had several things looked at and fixed and it was less than $200. I will definitely be keeping them as our plumbers.

First...do NOT let the small amount of reviews cause you to not consider these folks (as it nearly did me).  If you need a plumber - call them - I highly recommend them!  
In our house (just over 10 years old) the toilets were clogging and plunging didn't clear. The county came and unclogged the sewer lines. They put a camera down the tube, and found what appeared to be roots growing into the tube and the section would need to be replaced.  I rec'd a suggestion to call Fox Plumbing so I checked them out on Angies List. They didn't have many reviews so I was concerned. I actually tried calling another plumber first and rec'd voice msg to leave a msg and someone would get back to me. Having a limited schedule, I preferred to try to talk to a person to explain my problem and get an appt. scheduled.  I decided to try Fox Plumbing.  
A very friendly woman answered the phone (Deb) and was understanding and compassionate about my issue.  She scheduled me within 3 business days (sounds long - but only because they had to pull a permit and it was going into the weekend).  I was the first appt on Nov 4th.  Anthony and his assistant were exactly on time. They were nicely dressed, professional and courteous.  They dug up the segment in my yard, found the pipe segment (which had clearly been previously damaged & attempted to be patched by someone else). They replaced the pipe segment and refilled a small amount of dirt (so the county inspector could view). I was so pleased with the overall experience, I asked them to look at my hot water heater and explained an issue I was having. He identified that the thermal expansion tank was going bad and he could get me a price to replace if we wanted to. The County inspector came the afternoon of the next day (11/5), approved with no issues. Deb called me same afternoon to schedule Anthony to come back to fill the hole and give me a price on the expansion tank.  She even apologized that they couldn't come same day, but I told her the next morning was fine.  Anthony and his assistant arrived exactly on time on the 6th.  While his assistant refilled the hole, Anthony replaced the thermal expansion tank.  They were finished and gone in less than 30 minutes.   I told Anthony they were the cleanest, nicest plumbers I had ever met. He told me they tried to be and they took a lot of pride in what they do as it was a family owned business.  I would not hesitate to use them again and I even asked for several business cards to share with my neighbors if they ever need a plumber.

A++ Company. Quick & easy communication via messages on Angie's List to book my services needed.  I submitted photos for them to better gauge the price & labor which he said helped.  Amos came out on-time and fixed 2 of our old 1960's wall hung toilet's. He was patient with us as we asked him various plumbing questions regarding our old, original plumbing.  I would highly recommend them!

They were prompt, courteous and went above and beyond to get the work done quickly.  We will never call any other plumber in the Sarasota area.  Everything was explained in detail, up front.  All worked completed very, very timely by a wonderful local family owned company.  Appointment was schedule for between 12 and 2 -  - arrived at 1:45 pm.  We cannot say enough good things about them.
