About us

We are a family-run, women-owned native plants nursery. For thirty years we’ve grown and sold native and hardy Florida-friendly plants to Florida residents. We stock hundreds of species of trees, shrubs, vines, grasses, groundcovers, wildflowers and pond plants to meet your needs. We now have edibles and herbs, too! In addition to being a retail nursery, we’re state-registered, fully licensed and insured and offer landscape consultation, design, installation and maintenance. Our staff helps individuals and organizations plan naturalistic gardens and landscapes.

Services we offer

Tuesday and Wednesday by appointment only to help customers transition to a natural Florida landscape using Florida native plants. This personal service is free. Thursday – Sunday we will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for all retail customers. Knowledgeable staff are always available. Demonstration gardens at the nursery. Free landscaping advice at the nursery (by appointment). Onsite landscape consultation, We are open Monday, design, installation and maintenance.

Marta asked questions about our goals and made suggestions based on those goals. She was very knowledgeable and showed us only plants that were appropriate for our area and that would work well together. One of our favorite things was that she recommended using very few plants, given that they will grow and expand quickly, so that we were not over-planted within a year or two. We left with ideas and do plan to return to purchase plants there for our garden.

There is not enough space here to say how much I value the work done, the people (Laurel, Annie and James are the BEST at what they do!) and the ongoing support received. Estimates were done when promised, work was done when promised and they continue to be there for me with my never ending list of questions and possible future idea plans. I have been spreading the word about using Florida native plants to anyone who will listen...and more specifically about the work ethic of everyone at Florida Native Plant Plants Nursery. If you are considering a Florida native yard - please give them a call and tell them that Brenda sent you! You will not be disappointed. And if you are not considering a Florida native yard, contact them anyway and they will explain to you the benefits!

After a beautiful drive to the nursery, my family and I, and our dogs, were greeted by a four-legged friend. But don't worry, there are plenty of knowledgeable bipeds to guide you through the process of choosing what native plants are right for your home. We never use pesticides and love the lizards, bees, butterflies, snakes and birds that enjoy our garden and naturally exterminate insects and vermin.
