Five Star Brick Pavers

This supplier had a number of bad reviews and I had him do a job with the understanding that I would pay him nothing until the job was finished.  He did the job well and in a timely manner. I paid him the day the job was finished and I ask him to do another small paving job for me.  Again he ask for a downpayment and in light of the work he had done I gave him an $800.00 advance with the understanding that the job would be done the following week. It has now been seven weeks - I have called him 5 times and emailed him 4 times.  He has refused to contact me.  I have told him to cancel the job and return my money, but have received no response.  He appears to have three addresses associated with his unlisted phone number and I have found dozens of angry customer reviews on the internet. I am currently preparing to take him to small claims court in an effort to have my down payment returned.
I use Angies list and I would hate to see one of your members get stuck with Tom Borchert.
